I was listening to NPR this weekend, and they were interviewing one of the founders of the Tea Party movement.

"I said the Tea Party is dead," Littleton tells NPR's Raz. "What I mean by that is that [the] protest idea is gone, and I say that's a good thing."

This is true. A new face on the scene, Breitbart, staged these 2 with their heavily edited footage. Then Fox gave them a bullhorn of epic proportions. A true surprise attack.

My gf works in the media. She spoke to me about the Occupy Phoenix group. She wanted to sympathize with them and give them an opportunity to voice their concerns. They refused to. They had no spokesman. They voted on each thing they would say or do. She came to despise the 'jazz hands'. So they'd say nothing about their issues and then get upset when the media wouldn't cover them.

I am of the opinion that OWS and ODC were and should still be valid movements. But I think Occupy Phoenix was more along the lines of 'Occupy Everything' just because.

But the big occupy movements were derided because they weren't old white people with tea bags hanging from their hats.

Not every protest with those ideals that end up in a revolution automatically becomes communists. Iran is a good example of this.
