Adele has a great voice. I'm glad she won. I don't know what I was watching however, when Nicki Minaj came on. It looked like it was straight out of every nightmare I've ever had. Sounded as bad, too. She's awful.

Still can't believe that Chris Brown has a career after brutalizing that girl with the hit song.

That article said Kanye West won for his performances, but did he release an album that wasn't Watch The Throne? Why didn't Jay-Z get anything? The article didn't even list the song/album that won the grammy, just the artist, wtf.

/yes, yes I am mad bro

Nicki Minaj, lol ... I don't think anyone takes her seriously enough to be offended by whatever the hell she did

The Grammy's are always like that, one person walking away with a bunch of awards. They need to make those shows so artists/groups can only be nominated in one category. It's just lame when it's the same person winning over and over.

Agreed-I didn't know what the hell I was watching. Something like Glee in Hell. Good for Adele, though-great voice.

I'm more interested in the two gongs Bon Iver brought.

Pretty ridiculous. I wish Jay-Z would just "suggest" that some big strong guys break his kneecaps or something...make him feel like a helpless little girl getting brutalized, and such.

In this day and age, we all know verbal abuse is just as bad as physical abuse. In fact, verbal abuse is known to be far more damaging. Let's not forget he had to endure weeks of people talking about what an abuser he is, and that's more than made up for a few slaps and bites.

And Rhianna agrees, that's why she's dating him, again.

He won two awards for "All of the Lights". (rap song and rap collaboration).

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy won best rap album.

A song from Game of Thrones won best rap performance.

I don't understand why MBDTF didn't even get nominated for best album, though.

i like what he said in his first speech, among a lot of things he said...
"it's not about being perfect"
foo fighters, coldplay, and several other bands aren't always technically perfect live but holy geez they put their heart and soul and a shiat ton of energy into their performances, without voice "enhancing" computers, etc...and that makes me love them more than many other bands

This. Same problem I have with the Oscars. There are hundreds of albums/movies released every year, yet only a handful of performers get nominated for everything.

Gosh, its like there are rich studios are passing out big bucks to make sure the right people win.

A couple winners (and one loser) that may have been overlooked last night, that matter to me.

Best Comedy Album: Hilarious - Louis Ck>.
Best Blues Album: Revelator - Tedeschi Trucks Band
Best Americana Album: Ramblin At The Ryman - Levon Helm Band, although Harrow and the Harvest by Gillian Welch is amazing

I would have liked to have seen Rock n Roll Part from Jeff Beck win, but there was no way the troglodytes were gonna vote for that over the Foo Fighters

a few days ago local radio had a grammy preview, and the idiot says "Boney-Vay" was nominated for best blah blah blah. She then said something like, "they're a kind of, electronic, dance / hipster band that's getting lots of attention, i saw them on SNL last week, they were great!"

1) if you saw "them" on SNL as you said, you'd know nothing you just said was remotely true.

2) why exactly, is radio a dying format? oh yeah, that's right, because you don't play good music and then you lie about bands you never heard of. "BoneyVay"?

Going to You Tube now to search for Tedeschi Trucks Band. Levon Helm is farking awesome still-glad he won. And Gillian Welch is great as well. But instead of seeing any of them perform, we got the musical abortion that was Nicki Whatever her last name is. Thanks Grammies.

This is the first Grammy's I've watched in well over ten years. Most of the time I was thinking: "Who is that performing?" But I was happy to see Foo Fighters, Adele, and Paul McCartney perform. I thought Paul had a great close to the show.

But where were all the awards? I turned it on about 45 minutes into the show; do they do all the awards up front now? I only saw about five given out. Is that what the Grammy's are now? A circle jerk of performances?

//the Nicki Minaj AWing was stupid...if you want to shock and awe to create a stir about your music, go Youtube Marilyn Manson, at least that group had some talent

I actually preferred having more performances than awards shown. Even artists need to see what a good show looks like from time to time.

Swift, FF, Bruno Mars, and Adele killed their sets. It's a shame Jason Aldean's mic cut off during the end of his duet.

Exactly. It's not worth talking to LOC about metal, though. He'll just talk about how Slayer and anyone else you actually heard of sucks and that his crappy obscure black-death-core-speed metal band that you never heard of is WAY better.
