I, for one, thought it was a hilarious shaggy-dog story.

Although not revenge-y enough. The note-writer should've shot a hooker and stuffed her in the car with the murder weapon and some bloody gloves for good measure, just in case the reader managed to duck the charges for counterfeiting and the car chase.
