He didn't. That's Sammy Hagar.

No, that whiny biatch on the piano is who I'm talking about. But man can Hagar pull off a pair of hot pants or WHAT??

Hot pants? You're thinking about Elton John and his band Journey.

No Pepsi for you. Or them. But I do like their song "Come Sail Away."

Earguy: Zoomaster: If they have to put your name on screen so everybody knows who you are, you probably shouldn't be performing at the Grammy Awards.

Hey, us old people (me and Mrs. Earguy) are home going, "is that Nicki Minaj? I don't know..."

I'm fine with the I.D. bars. Few of us recognize all the musicians from all the genres and all the generations.

I may, however, be the only one watching that recognized Joe Walsh in the audience. Wonder what he's done lately that earned him such a prime seat.

=================

My wife recognized Joe Walsh, he earned a lifetime front row years ago.

So the Grammy producers actually don't know anyone in rock music, and instead have three people with no musical connection giving away the award for best rock performance?

Nice to see Foo Fighters picked out some high quality escorts for the evening!

2012-02-12 09:14:37 PM

Yeah, I'm fine with this award.

Better than snubbing Metallica for the heavy metal category and giving it to a post-prime Jethro Tull.

Actually, Chris Cross and ELO were most known for their hit "867-5309" as far as I recall. "Come Sail Away" was done by Duran Duran.

I learned something this morning I didn't know:

For 6 months, Brian Wilson was replaced by Glen Campbell in the Beach Boys so they could complete a tour.

I admit it: I like Maroon 5.

... and of course playing Party Rockin after a guy says "no instrument and autotune sucks" is just irony to the extreme.
