I had no idea there Lego pneumatics. It looks like the kits were made from 1991 to 2002, going by a search of "pneumatic" on peeron.com.

Sure, it's not a replacement for real prosthetics or industrial robot manipulators. But somebody built a fake forearm/hand out of Legos that's about as good as what high-end R&D did a few decades ago. And he did it for fun. That's pretty damn cool.
