Yeah, there's just so much weirdness here, and the story seems to keep doubling back on itself. The driver said she had a gun, then said she's a vampire. And there's also that part about how she declared herself a lesbian and then married a man but was still named the Lesbian Sex Symbol of the year...

FTFA 'It was a controlled drop to the ground,' Sgt John Rajan testified in court according to the Post, saying Ms Adams did not initially comply to his instructions to lie face down.

by "controlled drop" he means he body slammed her. also keep in mind that the "ground" is below the pavement.

AW can't even determine if she's straight or gay...just as long as there's someone to write about it.

A former Playboy bunny is suing the New York Police Department claiming they manhandled her following an altercation with a cab driver in 2006.

I'm confused.

This happened in 2006, and she's suing now?

that reporter sure did a shiatty job. I feel less informed after clicking the link.

usually not reading the article is a bad thing. Like "DNRTFA" is considered an insult on most occasions, except for this one.

Seems to be a common problem among the junior farkers.

The only workers I feel are less trustworthy than cops are cabbies. The cabbies have a job where they have to take you from point A to B, but yet they still find a way to complain how tough it is. I was talking to an ex-cab driver about how no cab drivers wanted to take me to my home north of Boston, and he said it's because they don't want to fight the traffic coming back to Boston and they lose fares due to the travel time back.

He told me this as if I should really care. If those cabbies think the only fares they should take are to and from the Airport, then they should get another job.

Narrow field, I imagine.

Another reason to stay the fark away from the NYC crap hole.
I would much rather be in Georgia where I'm allowed to be armed just in case there is a real vampire problem.

I'm currently working on a case where the injury was in 1968, the case was filed in 82, and the FIRST court date was 5 weeks after the injured party died from complications, in 1995.

It's not uncommon.

Average, for my type of cases, is more like 1.5 years from first filling before it ever actually goes to court. 3-5 to get it settled, and that's assuming it's fairly straight forward.

Farking pigs, they shouldn't have responded to a report of a woman with a gun until she proved it by shooting somebody.

Here's why you're stupid: "Responding" could be anything from "Excuse me, do you have a gun?" to shooting first, asking questions later. Everything from an extreme underreaction to an extreme overreaction. Unfortunately, cops aren't known for doing the rational thing.

I too, get tired of reading about police overreactions on FARK. What do you suggest? Stop reading FARK? Will that solve the problem?

So tell me, what's the proper response to a report of somebody with a weapon?
