well i was at the party n usualy when the cops show up they check for two thing's 1) if mike "bad@$$" lowell is at the party and 2) if they're prepaired for the ass-kickign of there lifetime's. usually if 1 happen's then 2 is goin down so they arested some kid's i didn't like (patrick romo is a poser), kinda liek as tribute back in the old day's, when my ancestor augustus lowell told the greek's to surender or GTFO of greekce but those n00bs said "lol no" so augustus lowell burn that place too the ground and then he steal their god's...lol much like the greek's found out, democracy only work's if ur trained in backyard mma liek me and that's what the cops realised, it woulda been 20 cops vs. 1 mike lowell and that would not have been a fare fight WTF when did i type this adn how did i get front of a computer screen

I was at a similar party once. Junior year of high school and I was gonna throw a party at my mom's house while she was away. I invited about two dozen people and, of them, about five showed up. However, they had spread the word and plenty of people I hated showed up as well - along with people I didn't even know. Pretty soon it was absolute pandemonium - people jumping in the pool clothed, liquor cabinet broken into, bonfire with drunken idiots running around it. Then someone cranked the stereo up to its maximum volume and put on thrash metal. Neighbor to the right flipped and called the cops. As they come up with lights and sirens on, everyone splits. In less than a minute it's just me in the house with cops out front ringing the doorbell and telling me to open the door, get on the floor, everybody walk the dinosaur.

I think he was talking about the phrasing.

In the US, it's usually stated in the present tense, i.e. obstructing police.
