FTFA: Muses returns this year with a range of practical items for women, including a pink fabric headband, a blue plastic change purse and a metal box of sterile adhesive bandages decorated with Muses' trademark bubbles.

They're hurling the stuff off of the floats into a crowd. They need stuff that's relatively light-weight to minimize injuries. A tin full of bandages doesn't weigh much compared to, for example, a tin of Altoids. It makes sense if they wanted something:

-metal they could customize
-arguably practical
-light enough to safely throw
-relatively inexpensive (I'm guessing the market for "custom bandage tin" is a bit lower priced than the market for "custom mint tin")

Mardi Gras is one of the saddest "celebrations" I have ever seen. It's like once a year, someone opens the doors of America's gated communities and a wave of pink flab descends on that poor city from all four directions.
With rare exception, the only women showing their tits are those whom leave you fervently wishing they hadn't.
Give me Jazz Fest any day.

Jazz fest is for old people and little girls. The gathering of the Krewes is... oh wait, you'll never go there, so have fun at Jazz fest!

Happy Mardi Gras to all my fellow NOLA Farkers! Being right on the parade route, Mardi Gras season is something I both look foward to and dread, but it's always more fun than it should be. This year will be no different. If any Farkers are setting up down near Superior Grill and need a place to piss, let me know and we'll figure out a way to coordinate it.

/also, to all the NOLA Threadshiatters: No time for love, Dr. Jones! We're busy trying to have a city-wide party down here!

Meh, enjoy life in whatever cookie cutter city you call home, then.

NOLA has serious problems, but not being unique, inspiring, and fun as all hell aren't among them. Stay out of the French Quarter for MG, tho. Christ what a nightmare. That's not our Mardis Gras; it's America traveling from all corners just to piss on our streets and have the gall to whine about how nasty Bourbon St. is.

I don't think you could be anymore bitterly butthurt over absolutely nothing if you tried. Keep gnashing your teeth over there, Knucklepopper, because no one over here gives a shiat. However, if your bottom lip stops quivering long enough to support beer, feel free to come on out and have a good time.

Superior Grill! Years ago I was a bartender at the Columns and ate there like, well, every day. I'll be setting up in that general neighborhood this year and might take you up on the offer to piss, lol.

For those of you watching at home, the only thing more valuable than throws is finding a legal place to piss.

I've never understood the fascination (from guys) with getting females to show their breasts. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate them as much as any other guy in some ways, but really, don't act like you're 10 anymore guys.

Great example, I gave a female friend (and I'm married, she's not) a massage with her nude. She's got breasts most women would kill for, and a nice a$$ too, but was it erotic? No. Would my wife b*tch about her being nude when I gave her the massage? No.

I guess that's why I married a Finnish gal. Europeans don't have that stupid mentality regarding nudity.
