I hope they tie 0-0 so no one is happy

Suarez and Evra both start. This should be good.

Too early...need coffee.

Cajnik: I hope they tie 0-0 so no one is happy

Speaking as an Arsenal fan, that would suit me just fine.

I hope no one gets hurt and at the end the players, officials and fans all hold hands and sing under a quadruple rainbow.

Serious question, if I just opened up one of the little Keurig containers and snorted a few lines would anyone judge me?

Langston: Speaking as an Arsenal fan, that would suit me just fine.

You and I, we think as one.

2012-02-11 07:44:10 AM
As expected, the fans are already looking to kick this off.

Oh wow, Suarez dodged him. That'll make the headlines.

I agree with Darke and Macca, Suarez should have shook his hand.

I hope this doesn't pop off.

Evra already off to a fine start, taking out one of his own players

It's a bold strategy, Cotton, let's see if it pays off...

Yeah, shame for the added distraction. Suarez could have put it to bed. I can't help but think it's gamesmanship on his part to stay in Evra's head.

2012-02-11 07:49:06 AM
The handshake that wasn't:
Suarez made it up to Evra,
Evra put out his hand,
Suarez walked past him like he wasn't there and moved to De Gea,
Evra grabbed Suarez in anger,
Phil Dowd pulled him off,
Suarez kept rolling.

2012-02-11 07:52:18 AM
Enrique still looks like he's lost a step. Maybe he hasn't shaken off his illness just yet.

Will be out watching rugby, checking this thread for updates.

Rooney could've gotten some more oomph if he didn't have that damn hair...

Ooh, close. Manchester Utd looking more dangerous with the ball.

My thoughts exactly, and it seems to have worked. Evra took out Ferdinand in a attempt to charge Suarez.

Enrique looks like he's playing rugby right now, these challenges are horrendous.

2012-02-11 07:56:35 AM
Oh Glenno, so close.

Evra looks out of it on defense.

2012-02-11 07:58:07 AM
OT... Are Rio Ferdinand and the Bang Bus dude related?

If Evra gives up a penalty this game, it will have worked. I'm not saying that racial slurs are acceptable, but if players discover that they can get in Evra's head and put him off his game, they will.

My fearless prediction: Arsenal is away and not televised: 0 goals for a draw at best

Those white third kits have really grown on me. I didn't care for them at first, but now I think they're pretty sexy.

I like the irony of Liverpool rocking Man City blue for the extra "F' You" factor.

Henderson and Downing just don't feel like playing defense it seems. This will be a long day.

I just noticed that. Awesome.

Giggs has signed an extension for another season. Stanley Matthews II.

I'd say Celtic Vs Rangers has more hate/spite, but an order of magnitude fewer people care about that.

2012-02-11 08:31:30 AM
Hey, Downing makes an appearance to remind everyone he exists.

2012-02-11 08:31:36 AM
And of course, when Downing does decide to play defense, he farks it up and gets cautioned.

2012-02-11 08:34:34 AM
Suarez has to be careful, any other time that kick is a yellow.

2012-02-11 08:34:52 AM
Whats that, Suaez being an even bigger dick?

I hear that in Greece, Olympiakos v Panathinaikos matches that don't include at least five stabbings are considered a dull affair.

Apparently, there's been an altercation in the tunnel. No words so far on what it might entail.

I'm sure they're just enthusiastically exchanging recipes. Word is Carroll cooks a mean pot roast.

2012-02-11 08:43:25 AM
And the word from the BBC:

1341:

There was trouble in the tunnel at half-time too, according to Sky Sports. Patrice Evra tried to speak to Luis Suarez but Martin Skrtel got involved and the incident escalated. There was a scrum involving several players, stewards and the police and it took both teams about five minutes to get into the dressing rooms.

Are there any US matches/games where there is a political/social dimension?

I think I recall the Canadian flag being held upside down at a World Series [snort] game a looooong time ago.

"the two most hated rivals in English football history."

Arsenal and Spurs are playing?
