Good. I'm hopeful they can pull the bass player away from his cheese-making long enough to record.

You don't know anything about the band, do you? Sad for you.

As someone who really enjoyed Alex James' autobiography and Blur back in the day (it still really holds up) this is relevant to my interests. It's funny that their biggest song in America was one they wrote in about 20 seconds as spoof of grunge, particularly Smells Like Teen Spirit. Whoo Hooo!

Just a note of clarification, he did not in fact say they would put an album out "this year".

Ignorant comment. The US is not the entire world. Also, their other songs are repeatably listenable.

Even in the US they had more than one hit. Boys and Girls, Song 2 and Crazy Beat all charted I think.

We don't get much call for it 'round here.

The universal truth is there's no other way I'd rather go through my weekend than knowing blur has plans to make more music. London loves them and so do many in the States. In fact, if i don't get my pre-ordered CD on time when an album does surface, there's going to be trouble in the message centre. I don't mean to cause a popscene or anything, but this band is aces and always has been, right to the end.
Subby is a rather charmless man, I might point out, getting all jackanory like that. Maybe he should cut down on his park life, mate... get some exercise.
