Good job, you brought down a poster.

I'm sure they keep all their undercover agent's names on there along with all sorts of sensitive data

Well, yeah - but it's the CIA's poster. No one should be able to mess with even that, if the gummint is to be believed regarding their power over all things data.

I don't think they care at all about politics, just government.

The fact is, they are actually stealing codes and extorting money for it (new window).

I'm not sure what they were trying to do with that-except get money.

meh - not sure I'm impressed. If they actually did something useful or good, I'd be down with that. Just bringing down a page? Not impressive. That's kind of like flipping your teacher/boss the bird when they're not looking.

I don't think this is a good thing. I'm as nosy as the next Googler, but I googled a family in Mexico yesterday and wound up with the FBI file on the family. They had no criminal record. It's the first time I've seen an Anonymous site.

I want eye bleach.

On Stephen Fry in America, he visited a secret lab in Los Alamos where a lot of secret NSA computers are doing all sorts of secret science things. Stephen asked the guy how often the computers are hacked, and the guy said that there's about 3.5 million hacking attempts a day. Mostly originating from China.

They don't seem to have a problem going after the mexican drug cartels, who consider hanging mutilated corpses off of bridges to be a form of communication, so I doubt they're afraid of a little polonium. Alternatively they may simply be too cocksure to imagine they could ever be caught. Since I'm still getting crap in my email and cleaning up my credit cards after they hacked Stratfor and sold my info to the Chinese mafia, I'm not personally going to shed a tear if they turn out to be wrong on that belief.

Malcolm_Sex: Haha I love this shiat, who cares if its just a "poster" its still embarrassing as hell for them

No, it's not. It might be a minor twitch to some internal government lackey that has the unfortunate duty of dealing with that but if you think that any actual CIA employees are even losing a second of sleep over something so banal and trivial, well, you're quite mistaken.

The Anonymous hacks are getting old real fast. A bunch of script kiddies sending bots to DDoS a website is like being proud of stealing a candybar from a convenience store. When Anonymous grows a pair and does something real, get back to me. Until then, I hope the CIA takes down their life-site.

IMHO the day may come when anon folks are holding office, wearing the uniforms, working here and there, getting access from the inside. just as your usa gov't has their evil minions infiltrated into every last piss-ant homegrown militia and bad-ass wanna-be weekend shoot & drink club (and everywhere else something that will never happen could happen).
it will take time. but someday they just might surprise us.

And it is even more likely that the CIA already has its "evil minions" inside the Anonymous group and are rising through the ranks as we speak.

You think they will have time between uploading porn and patting themselves on the ass over spamming websites to actually find a life?
