Isn't there some movie on this theme, the main characters are cursed so no matter how hard they try to avoid death and successfully avoid some PARTICULAR death, another death is always waiting to get them with a "haha" moment?
"You avoid the rockslide! But wait! haha! Lightning! You're destined to die today and that is THAT!"
/lucky for the people in TFA it did not end in death, however

When I was a kid, we got struck by lightning daily, and we had landslides uphill both ways.
.
Actually, it was pretty cool. But now I live in the Midwest.

Looking at the terrain, I can see the lightning problem. About your only option is to lie flat.
As to the landslides, had it been raining a lot? If so, why are you out there?

I am an avid hiker. Before I hike, I like to check the weather forecast so I don't end up in this sort of situation. I guess I'm some sort of genius.

Can I ground the armor with a copper sword too? (I figure you can just lean against the sword after sticking it in the ground). Because that would actually maybe work.

Once again this proves that hiking is bad for you. Humans are designed to sit in protected offices, and when required, walk around in ovals to maintain fitness....much like hamsters

This is why I take my anti-landslide kit with me whenever I go hiking. Every respectable hiker has one. Same thing with my portable lightning rod. What kind of outdoorsman goes anywhere without one? Seriously, the nerve of some people. Giving all of us a bad name.

This happened just up the road from my place. It was raining all day, over 100mm just down the road. The cliffs up there are steep, I have NO idea why anyone would think walking on those trials was safe during a downpour.
Honestly, every single weekend I hear helicopters in the mountains rescuing someone or group ( usually tourists ). Lots of deaths up here too - dehydration, falling off a cliff, getting lost, heart attacks etc etc.
And that's not even counting the wildlife :(
