Yeah, the guy who partnered with Dick Lugar in securing loose nukes is just going to look the other way while Iran develops a weapon.

I'm sure the fudge....er....I mean, CPACers ate it up.

Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum on Thursday accused President Barack Obama of actively seeking ways to allow Iran to gain a nuclear weapon and suggested that the administration had betrayed Israel by publicly disclosing what may be a plan to attack the Muslim nation

Is Rick Santorum even dimly aware that Israel is just another a God damned foreign country that doesn't give a rats's ass about America?

Who's side are you on, Santorum?

Farking traitor.

The greatest victory Iran could have in the country is if a fundamentalist asshole like Santorum wins the Presidency. His actions would cement their power for generations.

Hey Conservatives, the man who could be running for the GOP ticket is a buffoon.

I wouldn't have a problem with this. The news is getting boring lately and a good nuclear war in the middle east would change that. Hopefully we'll stay out of it though

This gets better every day watching them all try to out-derp each other. Pretty soon these guys are going to be so far right they're going to make Sharia law look like Euro-socialism.

Lucky for them, they have sane, rational, and highly electable alternatives like Newt, Romney, and RON PAUL.

Is there some legal distance far enough over the line that allows someone like Obama to sue for defamation of character?

Eddie Adams from Torrance: RON PAUL.

I daresay part of the reason RP doesn't stand a chance is that he's being completely ignored by the establishment (i.e. MSM, etc). This is probably because he's anti establishment.

He's brilliant. He understands perfectly that conservatives base their decisions on fear - fear of the unknown, fear of the unfamiliar, fear of death - and he expects them to respond to it, which of course, they will.

Israel tried to escape by diving through the glass! What a coward!

2012-02-10 04:58:01 PM
Santorum has been saying shiat like this for weeks. Basically along the lines of "The President wants/doesn't want to X" with X being any number of things that are patently false or completely unverifiable. In other words spewing hate and red meat to a willing audience.

2012-02-10 05:01:42 PM
So does the average derper ever stop to wonder, "Gee, why support Isreal? They're like... Jews. They actively denounce the notion that Jesus was the son of god so why are politicians so pro-Isra--"

Nope.

Everyday that B.O stands by, tying our and Israel's hands, is a day that Iran gets closer to a nuclear weapon. so yes is a sense, he is helping Iran obtain and nuclear weapon.

/Did they ever return our drone even though B.O had us get down to our knees and ask politely?

Republicans:

What was once your lunatic fringe is now your mainstream Republican candidate.Take back your party, they're making you look bad.

Either that or I'd like to welcome the moderate Republicans to the Democratic Party.

What's really funny is sitting back and realizing that we still haven't seen the GOP at its most batshiat insane. That will come later. It always does.

I can't wait to see what surprises they have for us. Will it be the frontrunner using the N-word near an open mic? It won't be that mundane, something really shocking, an errant tweet by Boehner leads to the uncovering of a GOP-wide conspiracy to hold 11 pages incommunicado in a windowless Senate Office Bldg rape room for the past 5 years.

Whatever it is, you know it's going to be good. They're just getting too comfortable with the crazy.

2012-02-10 05:06:56 PM
Everyday it is yet more fear mongering about Iran, I just can't believe we are going to be involved in another war in the middle east within probably the next 2 years. You'd figure even "conservatives" wouldn't want it but apparently that is not the case at all.

pretty much this

i work in an office full of these folks and it's actually just sad to be that "scared" all the time. i can appreciate being concerned and even having some .... unusual viewpoints that i don't always share, but at what point do you just say "i'll do my part, vote my true feelings, but refuse to be cowed into living in a constant state of fear."

hell, it worked for me during all of W's administration.

A few weeks ago, Santorum said that Palestinians don't exist, because they're really Israelis. Clearly, he's an expert in Middle Eastern history and politics, who should be taken very seriously.

FTFA: "Folks, the president of the United States is selling the economic security of the United States down the river right now."

It's as if he's speaking some kind of inverted code where a Black man is throwing the Jews under the bus. I've always wondered which actual bus that saying is referring to(maybe the Freedom Riders bus that got torched or Rosa Parks???)

SO a Black POTUS is selling the US economy "down river" is an appeal to the said same White supremracist who used to sell uppity black slaves down the Mississippi back in the Antebellum days.

Maybe he's trying to get the White Supremracists who used to actually sell their slaves down river to take another look at teh Santorum, despite their innate aversion to looking anything dark in color and presumably flowing in a downward direction.

GOP logic devours itself
