Heh. At least he has a sense of humor.

I've accepted we're going to come in last place, though I think the team won't be the 100-loss abomination that a lot people seem to think it'll be. I'm thinking low-mid 70's in wins and at least 3 years until it's even possible that we make some noise. And I only consider that a possibility because I have faith in Alderson, DePodesta and Co's potential to make something happen on the cheap.

That said, lowered expectations mean you can't be disappointed. Last year was sort of secretly fun since the team was pretty entertaining.

I've been a Mets fan my entire life, you start the season disappointed. this way, there's no where to go but up.

Oh and how I was looking forward to this year. "Ollie P and Castillo come off payroll, Johan will be back, just you wait and see!"

Sigh.

Not wanting the sh*t on a Mets thread, but at least they were somewhat entertaining and they weren't the massive clusterfark that was the Red Sox last year.

/Or the Braves.
