See conservatives. Abortion works.

I wonder if crap like Teen Mom actually works. Kids get a look at how ridiculous it is to have babies while still a sophomore in HS. Might actually prevent them from doing the same.

I think it's all that porn making young men want to finish on her face.

I will admit that those shows are one of my guilty pleasures. My daughter will watch every episode when she is 12.

More like, people have realized that a thin rubber sheath between their dick and her vagina helps prevent pregnancy.

/don't be a fool, wrap your tool.

"the Guttmacher Institute, a sexual and reproductive health think tank"

I think I work for that institution.....Still waiting on my first paycheck.

Don't worry, you guys. Santorum and the Catholic bishops are on the case.

We'll have teenagers AND adults cranking out tons of kids in no time. The Duggars and the Teen Moms are doing their part already.

Read the book "Influencer: The Power to Change Anything" by Kerry Patterson and you will have your answer (which would be "yes").

Teens are still screwing, the internet has given them access to information on how to use and obtain contraception and horror stories that scare them into using it.

Also, I'd say a certain portion of the population is also too busy playing WoW or Halo or and of the online games to be screwing, and this includes people outside the stereotypical "virgin video game guy"

Smartphones! I blame smartphones! Texting or writing messages on Twitter or Facebook while farking ruins EVERYTHING!

There's also the strong possibility that male fertility rates are falling in industrial nations, even among teenagers. Link (new window)

Something else that predates all the above is more likely the culprit.

In economic hard times, people pop out fewer babies (and have less sex) because they don't want another mouth to feed. It was that way in the 1930s. The opposite is true in times of economic boom. Thus the population explosion of the late 1950s and early 1960s.

The whole Right Wing strategy has been to blame all problems in the USA on the poor, non-white, and/or women who are too independent. However

1) Crime rates have been dropping constantly over a long time.
2) Teen pregnancy and abortion have been dropping.

That is why there is this recent brouhaha about contraception which Santorum would like to ban and other wingers make very hard to get.

Maybe if more teenagers were forced to have babies then the crime rate would go up and what they traditionally fear-monger would be back, and they would be relevant once more.

On the contrary. The ones that are still getting pregnant are so idiotic that their antics would be pure ratings gold. If anything, MTV will next dedicate a channel for the sole purpose of televising pregnant teens.
