Now sources are telling Colorado Peak Politics that the "glitter bomber" worked for the Colorado state Senate Democrats.
Well at least it wasn't this session.
This session.
Oh nooooooo!!!!

Must have been a coordinated attack endorsed by the Democrats. Sure he was fired from his unpaid internship for doing it but I think we all know the real truth.

Um, so what?

Did you say he worked for Democrats or that he is insane like all Democrats? Can't tell which.

Of coarse, it all makes sense now!

Glitter bombs vs real bombs.

So vote Republican.

2012-02-10 12:25:39 PM
Let's see... it was a dumbass stunt. He was wrong to do it. He was fired from his internship for it. I'll just repeat that: he was wrong to do it.

Any chance we can stop this right-wing butthurt from rekindling now?

Superjew: Man who was arrested for trying to actually bomb things worked for the Republicans.

One of these things is not like the other...

Yeah, your link doesn't say anyone worked for the Republicans. In fact, it says he was a critic of both Republicans and Democrats.

Don't let facts get in the way of a generalization that this tool represents every person who isn't in lockstep with the GOP.

FooDog: Well, Mittens has admitted to liking Twilight so there's that.

I think the best response to a glitter bomb would be for him to immediately put on a team edward shirt.

I suppose that's one way to combat stereotypes. Reverse psychology?

Can we stop the glitter bombing already? It only helps the wingnuts.

Oh come on, the Democrats finally get a setup like this and none of you take it? Fine, I'll do it.

Non-story. Overzealous staffer. Isolated incident.

We can, but not before someone glitter bombs crazy fundamentalist Seattle pastor Mark Driscoll. I just really want to see him get glitter bombed and then I'll be happy.

Glitter bombing has become a tool of liberal gay rights activists who somehow in their deluded minds think that throwing glitter at politicians will change their views on gay marriage.

If a man gets covered in glitter by another man he automatically becomes gay. Everyone knows that, read your bible.

In a video captured by The Denver Post, you can see Mitt Romney moving swiftly out of the way, avoiding the glitter, while the "glitter bomber/Senate Democrat aide" is forcibly ejected from the room by Secret Service.

That was a close one. Let's hope no one was winged and turned bi.

it does detracts from the bomber's point what with the assault charges and farking glitter. Any stunt like this feeds the flames and does nothing to advance the issue

Can't believe I made that far into the article.

Also, 6 months in jail for Glitterbombing, and Ollie North got off from Iran-Contra. What the high fark is wrong with this country.

Pro-gay voices wouldn't have had their point covered or heard otherwise in articles about Republican events.

As for advancing the issue... it does demonstrate that people care enough to get arrested for glitter tossing. I think that's probably a message that the right-wing demographic does not generally hear.

I'm just playing devil's advocate here because there's no evidence one way or another how people are reacting to the glittering of Presidential candidates, outside of the massive media coverage they get.

In a two-party system, I'm shocked! to hear someone disparaging a politician from Party X turns out to support Party Y.

And I don't think that anybody is outraged other than the Republicans who already have persecution complexes anyway. Ordinary people don't consider glittering somebody anything other than an amusing prank.

I think the glitter isn't that appropriate anyway.

People should throw that Chinese dollar store money at Romney, aim silly string at Ron Paul, and throw beads at Rick Santorum while telling him to show tits. As for Newt, he should get rice to congratulate him on all the marriages, I guess.

2012-02-10 01:23:43 PM
The article's writer was absolutely correct. Smith should have taken his cue from the Occupy movement and, instead of gltterbombing Romney, taken a shiat on him.

Well, this is a good example. Rather than discuss how terrible the GOP candidates are for the LGBT community and how they are even more extreme than the average Republican voter, we're going to deal with manufactured outrage over some 20 year old who didn't think his cunning plan all the way through, and how the real victims are traditional conservatives now literally under assault from gay thugs.

I think gay rights issues are quite at the forefront of American political discussion. Throwing glitter on people does nothing but lead to fairy jokes.

But Romney is also working for the Democrats.

What a beautiful scam: even if Obama loses to Romney, the Dems will still have the White House.

We fooled the GOP into thinking that Romney is actually a Republican lol.
