Nice work absolutely ruined at the end. Anyone with taste would have done Elvis, Sinatra, and Nat King Cole

That's right, stick it to the Beatles

Doesn't the glue in that tape dry out and crumble over time? Especially when it's in the sun?

Ok, those were better than I thought that they would be.

OK, so it may be a current 'Dail Fail' article, but I'm sure I've seen these crop up a couple of times on fark, before.

Try it with fiberglass box tape. I'd rather shave my ballz with a circular saw than fight with that stringy, overglued nightmare.

FTFA: Photo finish: The golden brown tones make each image look like an old-fashioned photo negative ...

Uncle Tractor: Doesn't the glue in that tape dry out and crumble over time? Especially when it's in the sun?

I would believe that he puts some sort of varnish or sealant of some sort.

I can't imagine doing something like that and not have something to protect it.

It elicits feelings of "meh" within me.

Don't you think that street art is intended to be temporary? If you're going to hang something on a streetlight, you expect someone's going to pull it down.

This is also a repeat from about a month ago but I'm too lazy to find the link.

I've seen a display of those at the Philadelphia airport back in October of '09. Not sure if it was a permanent display.

Here's some much better art made with packing tape.

Link (new window).

This one disturbed me.

patentguy: Don't you think that street art is intended to be temporary? If you're going to hang something on a streetlight, you expect someone's going to pull it down.

It mentions that these are done on a plexiglass wall, but the pictures are poorly done as we can't see the entourage/surroundings of where they are displayed. (that I could see anyways)

So possibly, these are set as part of a temporary display, but that are removable and could be re-showed in other exhibits?

Those are OK, but they are not the most amazing ones created with tape that I've seen today. Those would be the ones done with cellophane tape and polarized light.
