Huh. Guess I've been doing it wrong.

(density of memes + # of misspellings) * # of times subby fellated Drew
Newsflash coefficient

I can agree with this.

Being drunk does not make you more creative. It makes you less likely to judge your more creative ideas harshly, which means they have a better chance of seeing the light of day.

Gawker +TPM + Physorg + vodak= greenlights

Although going back and reviewing all my greens there are a significant portion of them that are from my local fish-wraps website so there is that.

2012-02-09 10:51:06 PM
Hmmmm . . . that explains why a handful of Farkers get thousands of greenlights each month.

2012-02-09 11:05:37 PM
I get plenty of greenlights when I'm drunk and driving.

/Just kidding.
//I don't get many Fark greenlights when I've had a few drinks.

It's not so much a creativity thing so much is it's you just blurting out retarded shiat and that shiat making sense to drunken administrators.

Makes perfect sense.

Hell, if getting drunk was all it took I'd have a LOT more greens

Don't drink and drive. The creativity inspired by alcohol has no place on the road.

OTOH, could there be something in the brains of artists causing creative inhibitions to be lowered? This could explain why they are flaky and terrible drivers, on average.

yes, i make alot of drunk submissions.

/over 100 greens and counting....

I can't get a greenlight to save my ass. Even on SOPA day. I guess I need to send pics of my rack to the mods or something.

/no, I will not send BIE to you, use your imagination from my profile pic
//shamelessly AWing right now because Im exhausted

I can't honestly say I tap into the creative well of the cosmos while drunk or high, but I do find myself more motivated, driven, and focused with creative projects.

For instance I find it hard to play a guitar for 4 hours straight while sober. Toss in an additive and time will fly by quickly (without me going full ADD for every passing bird.)

The fact that a drunk Farker could be inclined to post 100 links, while his sober counterpart is out getting laid, could factor into the mystery of the greenlight.

I know when I have an episode of insomnia I tend to write a lot more and it is soooo much better output than what I usually put out. What I usually put out is not bad by any means but the insomnia stuff is just... fark, I hate my insomnia self. So farking creative.

It's even better when I have a night terror.

As much as I hate to admit this, my pain medication contributes quite significantly to me completing tasks. Not just the daily tasks, like doing the dishes or laundry, but hobby tasks like filing away papers or writing in my journal. My pain meds refill on Sunday. I shall set up a test for myself that day: I will try to submit a few headlines and also whore myself out to see if I can get sponsored.

Let the anecdotal evidence collection, BEGIN!

FTA, remote association: "Cracker Union Rabbit"

I said "Jack" before I'd really even finished processing the word "Rabbit". At least for Americans, what kind of remote association is that? Poor example, it seems.

I have a few greens, after many attempts

it is not as thrilling as you might think

/i liek pie

I'm just going to start sending links to those that know how to write good headlines and get greenlights that way.

/couldn't come up with a snappy headline if it hit me in the back of the head with a shovel

Jmast7: Huh. Guess I've been doing it wrong.

Pretty much.

/Didn't Brad Paisley have a hit song about this?

I get more links greenlit than most people because I'm smarter than them.

1) Pay Drew $5 a month
2) Steal article links from liters and change the url by adding a character at the end, and change the headline slightly, if at all.
3) Profit!

Hope the modmins are ready.... I'm heading to the liquor store!
