Happy Caturday everyone!

Caturday "regular schedule": Caturday runs from sometime Thursday evening(for TotalFarkers), posts to Main at 8AM on Saturday morning, and runs until sometime very early on Tuesday morning. please do check it out on Sunday and Sunday night as well, as some of the best stuff, late answers to questions, and of course, some very good CAD^TM will show up later than the typical Saturday afternoon.

FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT HAVE BEEN LURKING AND NOT POSTING:
take the plunge! post some "blanks" of YOUR kitty and see how fun it is to see your kitty in lights and your family's kitty might get a fun or silly caption of his or her very own! a detailed "how to post pics on Caturday and on fark in general for dummies" page can be found here (new window). once you get the hang of it, posting pics is very easy, but it can seem daunting if you haven't ever done it before. take a look at that web page and hopefully it will make sense. there's even a bonus section that shows how easy it is to caption your own pics.

FOR THOSE WHO HAVE A NEW KITTY THAT NEEDS A NAME:
introduce your new charge(s)! perhaps we can have a naming "contest". post a pic of your kitty and let everyone make suggestions. some of the ones Caturday comes up with are hilarious and often very appropriate. my guy, "LittleOne", recently got his new long name "Jester Lord Fluffy Bottom" (partly mine and partly another lovely farker's - take credit you-know-who!).

FOR THOSE WHO HAVE A KITTY WHO IS UNDER THE WEATHER:
please post details and pose questions. Caturday is a wonderful place to get help as well as have fun. many of us, having had lots of kitties and having taking care of their lovely and many, many lives and, unfortunately, injuries and illnesses, have become "kitty health resources". post the issues and we'll all see if we can help, and for myself, please feel free to email me (my address can be found in "how to post pics on Caturday and on fark in general for dummies" (new window) and is "things.i.do.to.my.cats (at) gmail.com").

FOR THOSE WHO HAVE LOST A KITTY TO THE RAINBOW BRIDGE:
for those who have recently lost a kitty, please do let us know. please show us your pics, tell us the story. sharing helps. a wise person once said "a joy shared is twice a joy, a pain shared is half a pain". tell us of the lovely times of days past when kitty was around. tell us of your heartbreak at losing kitty. it's safe around here; no one will judge. most all of us have been there and will sympathize.

Eli would say hello, but he is outside scarin the dry leaves. Snow Friday evening, so he NEEDS to get his yah-yahs out now. He is not afan f the white stuff.

Anyone have a good "hotspot" remedy? Eli has his spring bald belly going on...I am sure it is frm lying in the mulch next door..mold I'm guessing!

I had one student broke his knuckles after punching a locker, and another student had a major meltdown and broke his arm...

Greetings, great people of Caturday ! Couldn't figure which entry was going to be the one.. 'cat breading' had a few comments.. I knew one of them would take off...wonder if our Alien will grace us with her presence this weekend? We can hope.. My semi-adopted feral showed up last night.. I think I am going to have to trap him and get him neutered.. apparently he has been doing a lot of fighting.. and getting the worst end of it.. he is being fed by someone... or stealing food...I set up a cat bed in my utility room ( not conditioned) with a heating pad under the blanket.. he definitely has been using it.. and he really needs a bath.. I think he is staying under someone's house..maybe sleeping on the ductwork. I only see him about once a week...hesitant about acting on this, as he could belong to someone....

At a guess, if he is really unkempt, then he is probably a feral/stray. You can always have him vetted and check for a chip...

Mine have been trying to help me with my accounting homework. I think they actually undestand it more!

Oh, and I brought dinner to share (made last night, but the leftovers were great!) Quinoa/rice mix - rosemary flavored, asparagus w/ mushrooms & garlic, and chicken sauteed with onion, garlic & red pepper, then simmered in lemon juice, white wine & chicken broth until the sauce reduced.

I will call my vet tomorrow and check with her.. took almost two years to be able to touch the cat.. in the summer Fred' looks clean and healthy.. sort of skinny.. would bump up against my leg.. developed a habit of trying to walk between my feet, as I was walking.. got stepped on a couple of times.. didn't stop doing it.. I will sit in the yard and pet the cat.. got him in my lap once.. took 45 minutes to get him out.. was digging his claws in to stay put..ouch..he likes to 'faux' fight my hand when I pet him.. no teeth or claws ever used.. maybe he's more stray than feral.... rarely see him in the daytime....

Good luck with 'Fred' & the vet. The one who stayed with us & was called that, came on a very cold day more than her lifetime ago, at The House In The City.

The Fred who was here for quite a long time, on one of the Sacrificial Chairs.
Unfortunately her kidneys finally gave out on the evening of the very 1st Cincinnati Sound show, early Nov 2007. Did download a far newer pic of same Sacrificial Chair recently, not going after it right now as it's nearly My Quitting Time for today.
Need to Feed Those Who Get, which is All Our Feline Overlords. Even Ginger gets a bit, even if his b.g. is up. Best go tend to alla that, be back shortly for last pic of the day.

Time for me to go to sleep, as I have not yet won the lottery and therefore must go to Mordor tomorrow. See you guys in the morning.
