It would have been nice if there had been some worthwhile alternative to Ried to vote for, but no, the Republicans gave Nevada a pair of choices - and one where "the chicken lady" was the relatively sane one.

I told my local rep that she was a cheap whore, as Corker received ~80k more in bribes for PIPA/SOPA

Who didn't see this coming? Who didn't see them trying to slip one in under the radar just after the SOPA/PIPA furor?

Many Farkers did. Question is this: What will be done about it?

Goddammitsomuch.

On one hand, you want to vote this spine-less tool out of office.
On the other hand, it would be giving it over to some of the Republican candidates ... who are worse!

I assume you are trolling but on the off chance you are not, We have way too much protection for it as it stands. Ideas were never meant to be protected forever, it was intended to be released into public domain after a set amount of time.

This is what Democrats think: Electing a single Republican who wants to keep the internet as it is, is WORSE than the total destruction of the internet.

"government and corporate entities would share threat information and solutions."
"affirmative authority to monitor and defend against cybersecurity threats."
"(1) IN GENERAL.-No civil or criminal cause of action shall lie or be maintained in any Federal or State court against any non-Federal governmental or private entity, or any officer, employee, or agent of such an entity, and any such action shall be dismissed promptly, for the disclosure of a cybersecurity threat indicator to-
(A) a cybersecurity exchange under subsection (a)(1); or
(B) a private entity under subsection, (b)(1), provided the cybersecurity threat indicator is promptly shared with a cybersecurity exchange."

So we could create a company, set up an exchange and monitor them right?

2012-02-09 05:49:31 PM
TFA did not give me the information I was looking for.

Is it just about government agencies sharing information?

If so, we don't have anything to worry about for a while. The Government cannot do complicated things right without massive amounts of cash. Not to mention that the volume of information they will need to mine will not be easily organized or queried. Even software organizations have difficulty maintaining small volumes of data (comparatively) and then getting something useful from it is hard.

/I do expect a lot of bad examples of how they screwed up their analysis and did something stupid.

I can't tell which is more fun-- to watch the Fark GOP shills bend over backwards to agree with Harry Reid, or to watch the Democrats who disagree with Reid on this one issue bend over backwards to pretend they never made a positive, all encompassing declarative statement about him. Probably the former. The GOP spazzes out on a cosmic level.

I would like to see a citation of all these Democrats who are trying to "bend over backwards to pretend they never made a positive, all encompassing declarative statement about him."

/Well it will technically be a two part citation: first being "a positive, all encompassing declarative statement about him" and then the person that made that statement pretending they never said it.

//What are the odds this dipshiat will back up his crap? 100 to 1? 1,000,000 to 1?

I love the comments on that story. The poll was commissioned by the nutbars at WND, but it's still a lie and a fake designed to get that jigaboo Obumba back in office.

I guess Rasmussen is now a RINO-level pollster, too.

It's not really the same thing. When Obama picks a moron radical right-winger as his VP and then runs from the same radicalized positions that Santorum, Gingrich, and now Romney (in order to win the nomination) are running from, they'll be the same thing and we shall see. Until then...
