The Bircher panel doesn't surprise me one bit. CPAC is the perfect place for Birchers to court teabaggers. After all, the Tea Party is just John Birch Society v2.0. Just replace "communism" with "socialism/collectivism", "John Birch" with "St. Reagan", and "Russians" with "Mexicans". Bam, Tea Party.
Considering that CPAC is likely to have a panel about how awesome Israel is, this should be pretty interesting.

I knew the right wing had gone bug-eyed loony, but this is way beyond the usual xenophobia and paranoid bigotry; this is open white nationalism at the Republican right's premier high-profile conference, in an election year. Stunning.

Someone pointed this out in the redlit thread, but it really is pretty astounding that this isn't bigger news.
