(Marketwatch) Scary Insiders are selling their stock at almost Gaussian proportions. This is clearly a sign that the end times are near and you should convert your 401(k) to canned goods and ammo   (marketwatch.com) divider line 14

They are going to be sorely disappointed when they realize that Obama has fixed all of our economic problems and that stock shoots up 20% in the next 6 months.

amirite?

Every single economist I have heard speak in the last year has said that it isn't a matter of whether Europe collapses into a recession it is a question of when and what extremes they are willing to go to to avoid the inevitable (thus making it worse when it does come). The next question is how to make money off of it. That's what I haven't decided yet.

Oh. Mark Hulbert. I'll be sure to attach exactly the level of consideration to the piece that anything with his name on it deserves.

Even if the stopped clock syndrome strikes on this particular bit of doomsday flailing, it doesn't mean squat for anybody except day traders or anybody looking to start drawing on retirement accounts soon. I have no problem believing that a correction is imminent, I do have a problem believing Hulbert has figured out that there is some substantial market event looming because insiders have changed their trading tactics over the course of a single week.

BillCo: amirite?

I love how everything you post is completely and utterly devoid of anything that might be considered a rational and intelligent thought. Sometimes I'm absolutely amazed you even remember to breathe.

All the labor participation rate drops and bogus European miracle rescue rumors in the world can't change the fact that the global economy is weak and cracking under the weight of its debt, starting with Europe.

That's because everyone's options just got above water for the first time in 5 years.

If you'd ever had a real job, Mark, you might know how this works.

I've been hearing ads on the radio for converting your 401(k) into bullion. And now there's one of those Goldline thingies in the mall.
Because apparently unemployment rates dropping and economic recovery means ZOMG APOCALYPSE NOW!

I know a couple of insiders and they have all been sitting on their stock way longer than they every intended to. Most seem to just be re-balancing their portfolios.

It's because they about to scuttle their corporate ships in order to defeat Obama this November and protect their interests from being scuttled

Gee, the market has been going up steadily for a while now. Would that effect sell decisions?

Gaussian proportions huh?

They are selling in a normal distribution that indicates noise?

Glad to see someone point this out.

I like watching a good panic session, it gives me the warm fuzzies.

I was figuring it'd be blurry.

It could be doomsday. Or it could be, as they say in the vernacular, "Profit Taking."
