Turned the game off with just over three minutes to play. Checked ESPN half an hour later and had to do a double take. Those last few seconds of the game were insane.

Was able to go and cheer for the Hurricanes at Cameron on Sunday and came away with a new level of respect for Duke; great atmosphere, great fans, was never threatened with death or dismemberment, just a great time all around. I'm less inclined to celebrate Duke losing now....dammit...(csb)

Also, the worst kept secret on Tobacco Road is Carolina fans are ten times more annoying then Dookies. Great game though.

UNC did control the game, and I am sure Roy will have them clicking very well come march. That front court is ridiculous, and I really REALLY want them to play UK again, because that game was fantastic. I still don't think UNC wins the Championship.

/Barnes is great player, but I still don't see him making the NBA splash so many people do, but I am no professional scout so what do I know?

They still have a game at Cameron. I told a buddy of mine last night that Carolina is a better team, but their defense can be so lax at times that they end up looking foolish. They were impatient last night, on edge, and they seemed lost in the final minute. I love my Heels, but their defense is just crap sometimes. It's so late in the season that I don't know how they can be consistent at this point. I'm not going doom-and-gloom, just trying to be pragmatic. I hope they tear it up come tourney time.

UNC blew it. But UNC maintained control after Duke going into double bonus with 11 minutes. Not only is that some extreme foul calling, but impressive to maintain the way they did until foul trouble had people sitting down. Duke won, no doubt, but not without the stef curry no call travel, zellers duke bucket, and two torn anterior cruciate ligaments by the gusy who would usually be guarding rivers.

Outside of that Duke played a clean game, only 2 blatant flops, no assaulting players, and no cheap shots. I was impressed. Also of note was that Bilas and Vitale actually were pointing out the blatant bullshiat calls against UNC, and ran replays of the ridiculous no-call on stef curry. I think ESPN may be trying to legitimize their coverage.

And Roy is the best coach out there, Zeller guarding that guy was part of a revolving screen, and a judgement call by the players. The lakers went to him before approaching Coach K.

How does Harrison Barnes try a desperation 1 on 4 drive with 10-15 left on the shot clock when you're winning towards the end there? What was that? Move the ball on offense, don't let a team that shot about 40 threes get open looks at the end on defense.

The thing about 3-point heavy teams like Krzyzewski always seems to assemble is they can go cold. Usually it's just for a half or so, but sometimes it's for an entire game. A lot of times those games are in March Madness. Yeah, Duke won it all in 2010, and ol' Ratface is a great coach, but slam dunks go cold a lot less often than 3-point heavy teams.

Also, I don't think any other coach in all of the NCAA whines like a little biatch to the officials as well as Krzyzewski. His "you just made a terrible call Mr. referee" face is pretty much his normal face.

It's only 8 miles down US 15-501, and Krzyzcewski has been coaching for 8 years longer. Roy has won more of the games he has coached in and actually plays decent teams in the winter. I'll go with Class and Win Percentage All Day.

Duke played a really great 3 minutes, Carolina played a really great 37 minutes. I'm not too worried about the outcome of the season, and am anxiously awaiting the 3rd, especially if we don't get some of the complete bullshiat calls and non-calls that happened last night.

Dean Dome to Cameron is closer to 13-15 miles depending on how you drive. Perhaps I should have said 20 minutes, because 15-501 is a parking lot for long stretches. Remind me, how many Olympic medals has Roy got? And looking at strength of schedule rankings that I can find for this year, Duke is first in two and no worse than fourth in any. Carolina is, at best, 15th. I will grant you, Roy does lead in the stranding his bench players alone on a hostile floor rankings. Thanks for playing.

Actually the best one out there might be up in the frozen north of New York State - who is now #3 on the all time list, thank you, and now has the most wins coaching for one school ever.

How bout a little love for old Jim Bo, who somehow manages to keep attracting quality players to the snowy wastelands of Syracuse, and who is doing it BIG time this year, despite academic problems with his one superstar, and a SHIATload of crap going on around him this year.

Give me the guy who consistently overachieves in the tournament with pretty good but not overwhelming talent. That is, Tom Izzo.
