53 point loss!!! It's the NBA, that's insane. The Bulls are going to suck for a long long time. And you know who's fault it is? Mr. Jordan's. Deny it all you want but you traded away your future to have Jordan and pals rule the league there for a while.

Too bad Fark doesn't have a "hilarious" tag.

the Bulls attack.....France DOESN'T surrender, beats Bulls by 40.

Fb- definition of "middle school" - the place between home and school.

I agree Fb-, what sucks though is that all the decent college players, strike that. If you can hit a 12 inch jumper in college you're required to leave early for the NBA now, so the college game blows ass too! Basketball use to be one of my fav sports, but now I just don't know how to take it. I'll settle down to watch an NBA superstar play, but I don't root for a team. It's pathetic. Why don't we just go ahead and give the Lakers the title for as long as Shaq and Kobe are there, and suspend the rest of the league for drug abuse.

I think it's an honest look at the state of the NBA.

How would it feel to be Floyd? He's coaching a sorry ass team basically as a favor for a pal. He thought he'd get some high priced free agents to play for him, but nobody wants to play in Jordan's shadow, so he's stuck with high schoolers and failed lottery picks. Double digit wins? Gonna be tough.
Oh yeah, your best player, Brand. We traded him to the CLIPPERS!?!?!

You can't blame Jordan for the mess with the bulls. Chicago is just another example of Greed destroying a team. I agree pro basketball sucks. Hell, pro sports in general suck. College sports are the only worthwhile endeavor. People who love the game playing their hearts out for what? Love!

Louisville, KY is now trying to woo the charlotte hornets. I dread the whole situation. Watching our political machine throwing money at them. Promising thier very souls to appease a second rate team full of overpaid wannabees.......UUUUhhhhhhGGGGGGhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just think, that GM fool who's at Chicago tried to get Tracy McGrady coming out of high school. He was going to trade Pippen to get him. Jordan said he'd retire if he did so.
Think if Chicago would have gotten McGrady. You'd have the man teaching him ethic, you'd have Phil, the Zen masta helping him along maturity wise, and you'd have a base to build on when Jordan left. And I think we've all seen what a quality player Pippen is since he left for Portland.
Trading Brand was the dumbest thing they've could have done. They basically gave away two years of their existence when they gave him away. HEY, here's an idea, lets prolong the rebuilding process with a bunch of whiny lil' biatches from high school! Good move sherlock, you already missed your high school phenom chance.

Uhg.

Even with a 53 point trouncing of the Bulls, there is no joy in the Twin Cities. There are three people in this town that care about the Timberwolves. Unfortunatley, one of them is our "governor".

My Twins are 10 minutes from not existing and Ventura is on vacation. I understand the apathy toward pro sports, as I have it too, but I can't go to a theatre in Minneapolis, get lit up and scream at the actors. (Picture that, "Hey Hamlet! YOU SUCK!")

I don't know, the Wolves are 5-0, but I miss the Twins. And they aren't even gone yet.

Ugh.

You want good professional sports?
Come watch a Canadian football game. The average salary is $50,000 so it has nothing to do with greed. The field is 10 yards longer and 11 yards wider so there are more big plays and you don't just see some running back repeatedly running into a crowd of players and only getting 3 yards per carry for an hour straight. How can anyone watch the NFL? The players look like sardines all crammed onto this tiny field. And then everyone cheers when the running back gets more than 7 yards because it's like he's just run a marathon with that huge pick-up. But if you only pick up 3 or 4 yards per plays that's alright because they give you an extra down in case your running back can't barge his way through that slough of players. Makes me sick

Chicago has prett much forgotten about Da Bulls.
Thank God Da Bears & Da Blackhawks are starting their respective seasons on a high note.
Go Bulls...Straight down the toilet.

I bet the Bullz are wishing now that they would have drafted Wally Szczerbiak #1 instead of Elton Brand! Wally's the greatest player in the NBA! And Elton Brand, well, he's rotting with the Clippers after making a layup on the wrong end.

2001-11-09 03:51:27 PM
The Bulls' problem wasn't Jordan leaving it so much as it was the fire sale of talent after he left. They could have been an average team without him, but instead they're the dregs. Jerry was plenty happy to put a crappy team out there while the house was still packed with season ticket holders. Now it's come back to bite him in the ass, which is a big target.

I like EVERY sport, even Canadian sports, except soccer. Soccer just isn't interesting...at all.

Zachery,
To refer to Da Bulls as The Dregs is an insult to the REAL Dregs, one of the greatest musical groups of all time.

Boy, I guess you're right. College ball players LOVE leaving after their freshman year and taking a multi-million dollar contract with an NBA team! Gimme a break.

So, how about a match with with Butte Pirates Basketball team?

Once upon a time, Houston had a team. Had two of them, as a matter of fact....
