Porous Horace: Amos Quito: THERE IS NO IRANIAN NUCLEAR THREAT

How are you interpreting that report that way? Yeah, it shows some progress. Only now that sanctions are happening does Iran seem willing to be a bit more open about their nuclear program. That article also mentions the November report, which isn't as sunny (sunni?).

Also, in another thread you said something about the inspector being in Israel's pocket, or some such, so I'm not sure that any report is going to be satisfactory for you. But whatever, that's you.

Let's see what happens with the February 21-22 meeting before we get all conclusive.

report schmort. It doesn't matter. Iran could have 300 tsar bombas and they still couldn't hurt us.

They might be able to fark up their own backyard.

Toots de la Footsjelly: Ever since WKRP moved there I said they had a bullseye on them!

Cincinnati != Cleveland. Hell, even Anne Frank knew that, and she was deaf, dumb and blind.

Bucky Katt: Does anyone outside of the city care about Cleveland?

I do. I went to law school there and, although I have no plans to move back there, I grew to like that city quite a bit.

I would be more worried of a conventional conflict in the region between Saudi Arabia and Iran at this point. Syria is the big prize now that iraq has slowly ebbed over to iran's corner. Once the saudi start arming Syrian rebels, it's on like donkey kong. Why we keep sticking our noses into what has been and is a conflict between the persian empire and Arabian tribes is beyond me. With religion in the mix, that region is ripe for a period of horrific bloodletting not seen since the eastern front '43-'44. If anything, we should offer to evacuate all Israelis like a fall of Saigon type deal and get the hell out of there. All those that stay should behave under caveat emptor rules. If crap really goes sideways, even the Turks will get dragged into this mess then the whole region will be hosed.

Meh, developing the nuclear payload isn't actually particularly impressive in the modern sense, it's the delivery system more than anything else that gives you power at this point. And even then, it's really only good for retaliation, you don't really win a nuclear exchange so much as make sure the other guy doesn't win either.

Basically, it doesn't really help you against, say, a conventional assault, especially against a country with massively better intelligence/counterintelligence than you that knows where all your silos are to begin with.

xiaodown: You... you do realize, it's almost 1100 miles from Tehran to Tel Aviv.

You know you have watched WAY too many movies when you read this phrase
and without thinking you finish it by saying to yourself:

"We have a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, its dark, and we're wearing sunglasses."

"Hit it."

WTF Indeed: If Obama didn't kill our moon base to fund illegal socialist anchor babies we could bomb Iran from the moon.

Total number killed in attacks: 2977
Number of foreign citizens: 372
..from over 90 countries.
