Yep.

Did anybody mention that this dog bit a reporter yet?

Yay! Face biting dog was rescued! So heart warming for an animal to be rescued, so that it may attack a human!

What a wonderful story. This should make for a great follow up report!

I think its the same dog that bites a reporter in the face.

Isn't that sweet, now they can put it down.

In defense of the dog, it can be argued that the reporter did look like a dogs breakfast.

When I was a kid, I had a Golden Lab named Sarge. We used to live next to a big lake that would freeze over in the Winter months, and me, my dad and Sarge would go walking around and sometimes onto the surface of the lake.

I distinctly remember Sarge running out onto the lake and falling through the ice into the water. He would then jump back out of the water onto the ice, and then jump right back into the water again and go swimming. He did this every time we went near the lake. He would also run back to us and shake the icy water all over us before running back into the lake to get some more. The dog was a bit of a jerk.

Whenever I see a story about a dog trapped on a frozen lake, I can't understand why they aren't just hopping in and out like Sarge did. Was Sarge just a freak? Can most dogs not jump out of freezing water?

Labs were bred to be water rescue dogs/hunting dogs for very cold conditions. No citation, but I think they have a much higher tolerance for cold than most dogs.

The dog jumped in the river knowing it would get to bite some sweet reporter face.

Is this.. is this the dog that bit a reporter in the face afterward? I think this is the same dog that bit a reporter in the face.

I'm doing a live broadcast interview with the dog owner and the dog tomorrow, is there anything I should know beforehand so I don't say anything that will make me lose face?

I often put my face right up to a dog I've never even met before. Bonus if it's recently been in a traumatic situation!

Mah face!

What? A scared dog, possibly in pain, might behave unpredictably? That's just crazy talk.

2012-02-08 07:44:21 PM
I just hope that anyone who comes into contact with the dog after this ordeal, doesn't get too close. The dog may still be traumatized and act defensively.

Having read the local news account of the attach earlier, I was expecting some chimp-esque facial carnage. That nip didn't look like it would have even drawn blood.

Nonetheless, this dog will be euthanized before dawn. But thanks anyways, firefighters!

Does the dog live in a van by the river?

Since this is the opposite of a follow-up link, is this headline a pre-peat?

I had to jump into a frozen lake to rescue my wife's dog when it fell through some ice and it started to drown after being in the cold water for about 30 seconds. Of course, I almost drowned trying to save the dog.

Is this "rescued a dog from icy water" a thing, now?

2012-02-09 01:01:41 AM
That reporter is the one who threw the dog in the icey watery thing, of course that biatch had it coming.

2012-02-09 01:14:45 AM
so i was watching "Blade" today and wondering what bright spark thought a short-arse like stephen dorff could make a convincing villain while of course realizing it was aimed at the same idiots who think a muppet like yoda could sword-fight when i felt a strange stirring in my bowels and thought it was just a reaction to the usual terrible hollywood production lack of values but soon realized there was a disturbance in the force because some dumbass eye-candy past her sell-by date got a toothy wake up call from a half dead dog that got a mouthful of pancake/greasepaint

/run on sentence runs on

And just think, if that dog would have died, we wouldn't be in this mess.

I've been reliably told that only dogs of a black colour cannot swim well.

stroking a strange dog's throat, talking loudly in the dog's face...I'm guessing she's not a dog person?

A. The dog was stressed out and probably scared shirtless. B. You *never* put you face right up to a strange dog's. They can see that as a threat/challenge.

Dogo Argentino? Yes, let's put our face right up to a dog's mouth, which happens to belong to a breed specifically designed to hunt wild boar.

See Woman Loses Nose to Dog in Home Depot. Never put your face in a strange dogs face. What are you, stupid?
