I quit watching a while back... But it's a 7.3 on IMDb and an 8.5 on TVTome. So somebody thinks it's good.

I avoided the show for years, but have recently started catching some episodes on syndication. The earlier episodes are okay, but the older the kid gets, the more painful it becomes.

It's not edgy. It's certainly not hip. It really is a simple comedy sitcom that retreads all the ground of the great and popular comedy sitcoms before it. It's formulaic and that's what people want and like.

It's the McDonald's of TV, genetically engineered to be 'good enough' to be massively popular everywhere without having a single shred or pretension of actual quality.

The last 3 episodes have been dismal, and the ratings have reflected it.

I knew it would tank after Charlie's departure. They managed to keep it going for a while, but that's over now.

I've seen the show maybe 6 or 7 times over the years but I admit I did laugh once. It was the one with these hot witch girls. Charlie woke up with a pentagram carved into his chest and said, "Am I Jewish now?". That was it.
