I'd want my favorite team's players pissed off and feeling like shiat when they lose. I know I sure do. At least Brady wasn't kicking shiat around the field and screaming like I was doing in my living room after the Wes Buckner drop.

Buckner drop?

You have got to be kidding.

Buckner's play, on a scale of 1-10 with 1 being a Little League player could make the play, and 10 being Brooks Robinson throwing out Lee May from behind the third base coach, was a 1.

Welker should have made the catch, but it was at least an 8 on the difficulty scale.

That was a tough catch to make. Stretched out, in the air and twisting. Now the Branch and Hernandez drops,on the other hand.....

The Branch "drop" was a harder catch to make as it was deflected right before it got to Deion. The Hernandez drop was actually a good drop, as it would have just about run out the clock if he had caught the ball.

Funny how the rings stopped after Spygate...

It's enjoyable to see someone who was such a douche on the way up regress to the mean once the cheating stops.

Hub Arkush (editor of Pro Football weekly) was on Chicago radio last night talking about Brady getting tackled. Before the hit, he had an above 100 rating. After, it was 30 something. In all the dissection of the game, a possible injury isn't getting much airtime.

Well said.

I don't really get the Brady hate. The guy worked/works pretty hard to get where he is and IMO seems to be hardest on himself. I wouldn't take a thing away from the Giants and/or Manning either. They worked hard to get where they are and did a fabulous job of pinning the Patriots offense deep in their own teritory for most of the game and severely limiting any oppotunities they did have.

Giants earned that one IMO. Not many SBs measure up to that.

/Pats fan

Receivers dropping passes hurts your rating. Sure, he didn't have the godly touch late in the game that is associated with elite qbs, but it wasn't like he was McNabbing it into the ground.

The two people pictured in TFA are doing it wrong. They're crossing their fingers. Brady is covering his right hand with his left hand. Attention to detail, people!

team sport

coaches don't play

Brady was 2nd best out of the league

did make two odd mistakes

O line of both squads didn't seem to be able to protect

Welker is a truly great receiver, and pats don't play without him

Gronk had a truly great year, got hurt

somebody always does...that's why the fanatics watch and bet...

Pats fan. and nope.

On that next to last drive....I said they needed to score TD or run out the clock..otherwise they lose the game.

I said, "if they don't pick this up first down...they're going to lose. The giants will get the ball back, march down the field and leave the patriots with 30 seconds...." Their D-line can't get pressure and the secondary can't make a play....

And anyone who says otherwise hasn't been paying attention to Brady the last 5 years.

The people watching brady haven't been watching Belichick. He's still a great coach, but he's a mediocre GM (at best).

Back in 2003-04 when the patriots were clear favorites and there was talk of a "dynasty" the patriots had one of the best collections of defensive talent(wilfork, wichard seymour, ty warren, ty law, lawyer milloy, rodney harrison, asante samuel, teddy brusci, miek vrabel, Big teddy washington..their roster read like an all star team....

They also had great coaching and a great front office...

Now? All his coaches and front office guys have been poached; he's left with young, inexperienced guys....he's running everything. ANd for every gronk and hernandez he finds...he misses on 15 other picks.

His defense has gone from being stacked with top talent.....to nothing but low round draft picks, undrafted free agents, reclamation projects and guys from practice squads around the league. It's one thing to have one or two of these guy filling in, or as part of sub packages....but it's another for it be 50-60% of starters.

The patriots (and tom brady/belichick) are running into the EXACTLY same problem peyton manning had for most of his career. All offense, no defense doesn't win rings (this isn't the NBA). Yes, Brady can cover for a lot mistakes againsint miami and buffalo...but the giants and steelers exposed how easily any decent QB can carve up that defense....
