Yeah, that's right. We do crazy here in Minnesota...

2012-02-08 12:32:55 AM
Bet he's glad he didn't pull out early.

Indeed. His opponents are undoubtedly frothing at the mouth right now.

Colorado is especially surprising. You'd think the combination of more independent-minded voters and Mormon overflow would give Romney a lock on that state.

This is bad news..... for Ob,.. I mean Republicans.

2012-02-08 12:52:31 AM
Oh Missouri, really? And we were having such a great week...

CNN just called Colorado for Santorum, a frothy sweep!

Wow, CO too? Absolutely GOP chaos. I love it like a pitcher of 6.7% ABV ambrosia pouring off the chest of Aphrodite (who happens to be a 22 year old Salma Hayek) and into my greedy gullet.

Interesting that GOPers are still playing Russian roulette even through the caucuses. I figured they'd have it sorted out by now.

I will say this, the results tonight are a huge blow to Gingrich. 4th in Minnesota, 3rd in Colorado, and he wasn't even on the ballot in Missouri's beauty pageant so he couldn't get trounced there too.

I don't know what to make of this anymore. I'm sure by November I will have lost a ton of friends on the Facebook and certain in-laws already don't talk to me, but it's just gonna get ugly.

It's not my fault I hate Republicans. It's their fault, they suck. They are like nightmarish horrible human beings. Not my fault.

America's conservatives are voting.

This is not good news . . . for Obama.

Looks like the voters managed to slip in Santorum.

On the one hand, this is awesome.

On the other hand- what the hell is wrong with my fellow Americans? Are you really that stupid, that afraid, that fundamentalist?

I'm terrified to know the answer. I wish I had magic underwear to protect me from the answer that I know is pouring like an avalanche coming down the mountain.

I have had this conversation with two different mental health professions. My psychiatrist, her comment was that more and more patients are coming in with problems with family and friends. People that they used to be able to have rational conversations with. friends and families are turning on each other. Strange, the only people who are talking to the shrinks are the democrats who feel bad that their friends and relatives have gone round the bend supporting nut-jobs.

I guess we could deal with it better if they would just shut the fark up about politics.
but no, they think it is OK to insult our president and our choices, but their choices are rational and sane.

I am have basically started shunning these people and have been happier and healthier for it.

In some ways, this is wonderful. These people are showing their faces in the sunlight. It is one thing when they complain about President Obama. fine. we can differ on policy. but when they try to argue with a straight face that bush, mccain and now one of these 4 are GOOD for america. well, we know exactly where they stand. they are no longer pretending to support social justice. they are shouting that they want THEIRS and screw the poor and brown people.

that is GOOD
it is hard to fight evil when you dont know where it is hiding.
but we can start to shun family and friends who are insane.
we can stop supporting businesses who support these insane candidates.

this is the brightest light we have seen in a long time.

WAIT
WAIT until the general election gets rolling. The HATE adds will make Kerry swift boating look like sunday school.

The actual delegate count is what, well, counts. Let's see what Republicans do when it's somewhat important to who is actually the candidate.

Awesome. Let this trainwreck continue so these jackwagons have to continue to attack one another. By the time it's all over, whichever candidate gets the nomination will have lots of dirt on him.

This is what happens when multiple dissimilar groups come together to fight against something and then each pitch their own candidates who don't really seek to bridge the gaps between their groups. Whoever wins, most in their own party will be unhappy. Usually by this point several have dropped out of the race for the good of the party, but all of the candidates have enormous egos that liken dropping out of the race to being wrong.

The neat thing is that they're all wrong.

Santorum is a nightmare for thhee libs. The contrast between him and obama will be huge in a general election. Santorum's strong American, Christian and conservative beliefs and values are completely opposite of the old-Europe and social-democratic values and beliefs of obama. It's Saul Alinsky vs Ronald Reagan.

The libs in this thread are making it out like this is good news for obama, I guess it's reverse psychology or something. Secretly they're all shaking in their boots

yes, from your profile you seem like a likely republican voter. i'm sure the GOP should really base their platform on what "social justice crusaders" believe.

Yep, we're becoming radicalized. The left is going leftier, and the right is getting rightier. And if you just thought to yourself, NOT MY SIDE, IT'S THE OTHER GUYS. You're part of it. Now go ahead and tell me why I'm wrong. Tell me why your side is the only sane and reasonable one. Go on, I'll wait.

O.K. feel better? Feels good to point out how out of touch, how radical, and how dangerous THEY are doesn't it. Maybe you even a little righteous?

Welcome to the beginning stages of the balkanization of America. If you're in the minority in you're area be prepared to A:conform, B:move, C:be treated very badly. If your in the majority, congratulations, you may get what you hope for. Sure theirs a lot of work and struggle first, you know cleansing, purging, and the like. But it will be all worth it. After all THEY aren't reasonable, some are so stupid that they hardly even human, they deserve what they get.

Left is going where?

(eyeroll)

There's only one party that's against healthcare for women, against voting rights, thinks people that work for a living are paid too much and billionaires have too little, and are generally motivated by malice. It is NOT the Democratic party, conservative as they've gotten.

I would think Santorum that old would stink really bad....

As to the Republicans, Yea this is getting very messy. Who ever wins will be so contaminated with shiat that he will just ooze over the finish line.

Obama will end up sliding to a easy victory.

High heels, honey, and I'm not shaking in them. There is no way Frothy can win in a general election. American women will not trade in their high heel shoes for a burka and an American theocracy.

Things have become too weird in politics. Now the Republicans are the party who debate policy and are open about their ideological differences while the Democrats stifle dissent so the can appear in lockstep behind a single person.

I'm an incredibly liberal guy. In fact, I'm pretty much what Fox wants everyone to think all people 'not them' are--gay, atheist, socialist. I'm not scared of a Santorum candidacy; not one bit. I think it's hilarious.

A Santorum candidacy coupled with the violent rhetoric coming from the right frightens me. The idea of someone like him or Newt picking up the GOP nod and then the President being targeted by nuts who have become convinced by the conservative establishment that Obama has to be stopped at all costs, scares the hell out of me.
