According to CNN, Rommeny is in the lead in Colorado....by 2 votes.

I could at least see the primary run to Super Tuesday at this point before an obvious winner emerges. It's not impossible we'll have a brokered convention.

organizmx: I don't know anything about Santorum (besides googling his name).

Can someone fill me in on where he stands? I remember something about hating gays and education is brainwashing or something, but not specifics.

You've pretty much got the gist of him. Apply the above liberally, and don't forget to wrap the whole thing in Jesus, and you've got the recipe for a wonderful, Santorum-filled evening.

Things I know about Santorum.

- He believes gay sex should be a criminal act, adding that privacy is not a constitutional right.
- Says that getting your child a college education is akin to getting your child "brainwashed".
- Said that he "doesn't want to make black peoples' lives better".
- Told a sick kid who complained about the price of his medicine "People have no problem paying $900 for an iPad, but paying $900 for a drug they have a problem with. Why?"

Anyone else want to add to this list?

I will. They had 9 candidates. 7 of them said, "let's continue sanctions against Iran, and back up Israel if they want to attack Iran." Ron Paul said, "Let's stop messing with both Iran and Israel, no aid, no sanctions, no starting wars for anyone." And Santorum said, "Let's just go to war with Iran regardless of what Israel says".

In 2005, Santorum authored a bill that would have shut down the public-facing Web sites of the National Weather Service, Storm Prediction Center, and the National Hurricane Center, despite the fact that this information is gathered using taxpayer funding and millions of Americans rely on this information daily to do their jobs or keep their families safe. His argument was that disseminating this information is not an inherently governmental function, and that people who want it can get it from the private sector for a fee.

Of course, the fact that AccuWeather is located in Pennsylvania, and the fact that the AccuWeather folks were big Santorum donors had absolutely nothing to do with this bill.

Fortunately, this was such an obvious case of influence peddling that the bill didn't even attract a single Republican co-sponsor, and it died in committee.

Benevolent Misanthrope: OK - I'm looking at Google politics (since I don't have cable any more) - rolling over the counties, someone tell me these are precincts and not numbers of actual votes. Example:

Sedgwick County, CO - 100% reporting

Santorum 28
Romney 22
Gingrich 7
Paul 5

That's a total of 62. Which is 62 precincts, right? RIGHT???

/Kee-reist, no one is voting this year at all.

It's the northeastern corner of Colorado. 62 is probably 80% of the Adults in the whole county. This state isn't like the east or west coast, we've got Denver, Colorado Springs, Pueblo and Fort Collins, Denver being the major city and capital. over 50% of the state is Rural. Add another roughly 15% State and National Park and 20% uninhabitable (Rocky Mountains, they're ROCKY!) that isn't included in those State and National Parks. I wouldn't be surprised if Archuleta and Mineral counties came in with under 20 votes each.

It sounded to me like Ron Paul has a theme song now, with everyone chanting RON PAUL in the chorus. I had never heard it before, but I don't hang out in Ron Paul circles on the internets. Where are their websites? Are they still just on Digg and upvoting everything RON PAUL on Reddit? I need to infiltrate the Paulites.
