Nice find,
subby
You could tell, though, Nina was none too pleased with the nervous laughter.
They were playing the wrinkle room, what did they expect?
/Fark it. Yolandi is da zeffiest.

What the hell are they allowed to play on Letterman? I've never heard a song I would call TV safe from them, though they are all hilarious.

Yolandi is a classically trained musician, and a mother.
This act is the Capetown response to American POP.
Think of them as Ga GA esque.

Watch
this
first, and then if you're laughing your ass if as I was, watch
this
. Both are NSFW for language, the second is absolutely NSFW. I guarantee, this is more farked up than anything you've watched today. It's parody, intentionally bad, but it's so bad it goes around to awesome IMO.

Got a link for that? You're the first person I've heard claim it is intentional parody. I've read an interview with them, and they seemed quite serious about repping "zef" style and a short google search isn't turning anything up saying they are intentionally parodying anything.

It feels like one really. That talk intro for Enter the Ninja, plus the bit 2/3 of the way through the song? That can't possibly be serious.

So...
In the 1st one, is the Ninja dude like 'their' Kid Rock? Would make sense the little ET looking one would be Joe C. So after a couple albums I guess he'll return after a brief hiatus (and ET's passing) 'reinvented' & singing like Warren Zevon as opposed to KR's Bob Seger?
Why does the jailbait with the Johnny Winter complexion sound like she's fresh out of Benny Lava?
In the 2nd one....
Did the Children Of The Corn completely take over pop culture while I was sleeping?
I'm as confused as Letterman is horny...

Um, don't have a link, but they've been playing for many years, and they released songs under other aliases and project names, it's all been a big act from day 1. Also, watch this:

I am no musician but I do sometimes have melodies in my head that I sometimes think, for a short time, are catchy. Eventually I realize that I don't have the talent to make a song with listening to.
Die Antwoord are like me, but without the self-restraint.

I've enjoyed watching her grow as an artist. She's always been the real appeal of the band, and her stage antics are getting more and more bizarre. The music has always sucked, and he takes himself so seriously it's pure comedy. So that's a unique mix of offerings this band has: sex, comedy, beats, and more sex. God she's hot, eh? She's the stop-talking-in-the-middle-of-a-sentence kind of hot. Ooof.

Mixing a little humor into your music doesn't make your entire performance parody. Esp when they're several albums in.

Sure, so here's an article about them being a essentially "black face" act (in a South African context, of course).

It will always come down to opinion, and I simply don't see how you can look at their work and NOT say that there are strong elements of parody and satire involved, not only in the music but also their performance and history.
