There's not enough information. We need to know how many have neither. If all cat owners own dogs, 15 have both, 5 have just dogs, 9 have neither. If everyone has at least one pet, 6 have both, 9 have just cats, 14 have just dogs, 0 have neither. So, between 15 and 6.

Is this Alabama Math? Just make up an answer and claim it's right. If other people believe you, you get tax-exempt status and an A in the class.

Ours showed a little too much interest in kids of all ages. His daddy was the pastor, though, so they never did anything to him.

One student has 15 cats, twenty students have one dog each, and the remaining students have stupid pets like parakeets and rabbits and one of them has a dead hermit crab but he doesn't even know it's dead because he hasn't given it any water in a week.

We have a Pit Bull, the other 28 students had a Pekingese and/or cat. The answer is one students had one dog full of dogs and cats.

I disagree. Problem does not state that the numbers given are exact. For example, the statements "my left hand has 3 fingers" and "my left hand has 5 fingers" are both correct. So the numbers in the problem are only proven to be minimum values.
So, there are between 29 and infinity students in the class.
Between 20 and infinity of them have dogs
Between 15 and infinity of them have cats
Thus, there are between 0 and infinity students with both cats and dogs.
/ We could maybe say between 0 and 6 billion if we assume the students are humans.

Indeed. Otherwise,we'd have incomplete Venn diagrams.

I loves math and/or logic.
