I have crop dusted her on many occasions.

Our tax dollars hard at work.

I do not know who she is. In skimming through her wiki article, I see that with her retirement, nothing of value will be lost.

2012-02-07 05:46:51 PM
Yeah first I was sitting there waiting for something good then I figured it out. She's just some lame ass congressman.

NC is slowly ridding themselves of these biblethumping teabaggers. It's gonna take a while though.

/but yes, we DO have a farking Amendment proposal coming up to define marriage as just betwix a man and woman
//Because Jesus said so, god damnit! Stop asking!

Honoring Rick Flair? Surely there are no more pressing issues...

At least Perdue isn't running again. She's a democrat that personifies 'You're Not Helping'.

/voted McCrory
//probably will again

Thankfully I quit watching pro wrestling somewhere around Bruno Sammartino, so I have no idea who Rick Flair is. Man, Congress does a lot of stupid shiat.

Pat McCrory? Where does your money come from?

They take time to give Congress critters one minute to make a one minute speech to a bunch of empty seats to congratulate the prize winning pumpkin at the county fair, or whatever else they want. It gives them an opportunity to show the folks back home how hard their congress person is representing them.

It's a waste of time, but thankfully not much of a waste of money.

/I get the feeling that my congress critter is representing me EXTRA hard all the time

To be fair, that was probably one of only a few House floor speeches in the last decade that hadn't been influenced by lobbyist money.

/Unless there's a pro Ric Flair lobby

Then you don't know what you missed. Richard Flehr is the George Herman Ruth of the Kayfabe era, quite simply the greatest of all time.

Add in that he took a lot of time out of an enormously busy schedule to do all manner of personal appearances at Charlotte area childrens hospitals to see kids who worshiped the ground he walked on and raised large amounts of money for all manner of charities throughout the Southeast, and I say good on Congresswoman Whatshername for recognizing him.

Still real to you bro?

She's a RHINO!

Rick Flair is AKA "The Nature Boy," and we all know a real Republican(tm) would never honor some hippie motherfarker who promotes nature.

QED.

I used to know this woman who worshiped Ric Flair. She was the best set of tits on the worst human being ever. And everything in her life was influenced by Ric Flair's ring persona. I never knew anybody who loved crushing the spirits of everybody around her than her.

I have no doubt that if Ric Flair knows her, he has a restraining order against her.

considering that Ric Flair is hovering around bankruptcy these days, i'm sure someone is telling him that running for office is a fine way to make some extra money. Ask Christine O'Donnell

If he spend the next 50 years working 40 hours a week spending 1 hour per person he has cheated, screwed over legally, broken a contract with, or forced them to spend THEIR money supporting his lifestyle, he still would not have enough time.

/Great entertainer, piss poor human.

She was the mayor of Charlotte too.

I had one guy try to tell me that Charlotte is a great place to live cause it's not real redneck. Perfect example of why you need to get a second opinion.

LeaveRicFlairalone.jpeg. LOL!

I lived in pre NBA/NFL North Carolina, and the only other people that got the amount of love Flair got were Dean Smith and Dale Earnhardt, Sr.

For a one minute speech, it's not terribly out there. Those things are designed to be "in the Congressional record" without having the speakers actually give a rat's ass about the subject. Hell, I'm indirectly in one - Representative John Hostettler (IN-8) congratulated the University of Southern Indiana men's basketball team for winning the conference tournament in 2007.

/Feels doubly represented

Yeah, Western NC is still a haven for mouth-breathers. Just look at that whackjob from Cabarrus County that said "abortionists" should be given the death penalty.

Don't get me wrong, we've still got some pieces of work out east. But even though Walter Jones signed on with the Tea Party caucus, he still voted against SOPA. There's some hope for him.

/hoping I'll get redistricted into G.K.'s territory, but I doubt it

yep...she used to come into a restaurant/dining club that I worked at...
I have farted by her when she was mayor and congress critter...

/long time ago so I think the statute of limitations has run out on that one...
//csb..was working a fund raiser banquet with Jesse Helms as the GOH...I did a classic crop dust passed him..then as I finished my move, turned around and made eye contact...Jesse kinda grinned and gave me one of
those point and grin moves....Not sure if he new what I had done but to me it was classic.

If that was her greatest speech, the sucky ones must have sucked suckiness down to a record level of suck.

2012-02-07 09:16:26 PM
I watched that thinking she would take a chair shot, with the customary 5 steps and then belly flop that Flair has perfected.

Would have been a slobberknocker...

It's nice to see a Republican not ruining something.

2012-02-08 05:43:13 AM
Myrick won't be missed; she was the token Republican Representative from an ironclad Republican district (Charlotte/Mecklenburg Co), and she knew it. Myrick was there to vote in lockstep with whatever the GOP leadership wanted, and she did that job well.

/Her district will elect another GOP lackey
//bet on it
