what a stupid little bet.

Should've gotten beers from around NY State, not just Brooklyn.

Um, he did. Saranac, Ithaca.....Blue Point is from eastern Long Island.

PowerSlacker: New Hampshire has a NFL team?

Only if you consider New Hampshire part of New England.

The real question is why only Smutty if the Patriots won? Think of all the New England craft breweries...

Fark Chuck Schumer - he supported SOPA. He doesn't get off the hook for making a fun bet on the Super Bowl. He's still a shiat head who needs to go next election.

Oh, I didn't see that in the article.

Hey subby, New Hampshire isn't Massachusetts.

And Schumer knew that a bet he won would "go badly?"

Yeah, a Kennedy dig. Ha. Funny. Make some goddamned sense next time.

I imagine it's like the whole "square is a rectangle, but a rectangle isn't necessarily a square" thing.

New Hampshire is part of New England, but New England doesn't nessarily mean New Hampshire.

Being from NH, Shaheen identifies with the Patriots, but that doesn't mean she's going to send him Magic Hat or Allagash. She's going to send NH beer.

I have been really enjoying the Six Point Righteous Ale. Should send those.

So a bottle per Senator, a draught per, or enough to get their true feelings out in the open? Of course, the is except for the boring teetotalers who'll probably seize this as a moment to impugn them for promoting alcohol consumption.

"Yeah, but it is GOOD alcohol. None of that foreign, Bud Light crap!"

They just released a new IPA called "Resin". In fact, it just came out of the tank last Tuesday and was featured at extreme beer fest. I got a 4 pack ahead of time. Very piney.

Yeah, it was lame that she only put up one brewery. Then again, Smuttynose makes some really good beer!:)

I'd like to taste some of those NY brews myself. Nicely done, Giants!

Shipyard is the best brewery in New England but is in Maine.

/Owned by a guy who went to UNH though so I'd count it.

Being on the Seacoast I was glad she went with Smutty (and pissed off that the Pats lost) but she also could have gone with:

Tuckerman (new window)

or an even better beer choice is pretty much anything from the folks at Moat (new window)

You really should be more careful with your spelling.

A much better Superb Owl bet outcome (new window) for all of us (even Pats fans).

You find me when Smuttynose makes anything as good as this:

I think a bottle of Saranac Black Forest might be good right about now.

It's funny because Ted Kennedy was a drunk who killed a woman and got off because of his family's money and fame, and then went on to be a shiathead in the Senate for 30 years.

that is some ballsy c*nt, thinking NH has some claim on the Pats.

meh - I knew Manchester had no chance of winning the SB even before the season started

Smutty's Pumpkin Ale is better than that.

Seriously, I'm sure Shipyard makes some decent stuff, put Pumkinhead is undrinkable. It doesn't even taste like pumpkin, it tastes like hay.

You do know the team is called the New England Patriots right? Gillette is closer to Providence than Boston for Pete's sake.

hey moron, I grew up on the north shore, providence isn't in f*cking new hampshire, and proximity to a stadium doesn't mean you get to f*cking claim a sports team in any f*cking event. NJ doesn't get to claim the jets or the giants. and the pats will always be in boston's orbit.
