I don't think that there is anyone beautiful enough to cause all the males in the world to fap to her at once. Too many red hair vs blonde, tall vs short, stacked vs skinny, etc arguments.

Farrah Fawcett may have come closest back in the 70s with the red swimsuit poster only because the internet wasn't around to provide other options...

/oh, cats not kittens
//never mind

The I Can Haz Cheezburger Empire would collapse overnight.

High predation rates may not substantially reduce rodent populations. They are fast breeders and quickly reach the carrying capacity of the local ecosystem. If population goes down females have more food and produce more babies.

It true that it might cause problems worldwide, but on the other hand Saturdays on Fark would be greatly improved.

I'll be able to breathe safely at night without fear of having my breath stolen.

If all the cats die at once, I'm buying the first round of beers at the pub.

The internet would be useless.

The intertubes would be clogged less frequently and only used furniture would be offered for free on the curb.

I have not been wondering because I know the answer: nothing of value would be lost.

/turn them all into dog food

In the effort of streamlining things for the angry mobs, I am selling these burning pitchforks at a reasonable price.

I would have little use for plastic grocery bags (litterbox).

And I would really miss my buddy Phil.

I'd hazard a guess that Livescience and Yahoo News contributors might to actually go do a real job rather than make up stupid shiat all day long.

When I brought Bailey home, that was the last I ever saw of the field mice. I also added a fellow non-conformist to my home. He doesn't like people in general, stretches out wherever pleases, and seeks attention whenever he feels like. He's a lot like me.

I will give him a home as long as he likes. I wish the women I know were more like him. Quiet, loving, and low maintenance.

Our cat is a working animal. We got her when we were unable to control our mouse problem through traps and poisons. Since we got her, she's solved the mouse problem. Also the rabbit and chipmunk problems, which weren't really problems, but whatever. She really is like a wild animal that swings by the house a few times a day to say hello. Was never a cat person, but she's grown on me.

It would be eerily quiet under my mom's trailer house.

A lot of hoarders would find less dead cats under the boxes in their living rooms.

2012-02-07 01:08:56 PM
The author of that article is just mad no one finds the pictures of his dogs remotely interesting.

2012-02-07 01:09:41 PM
we would be over ran by mice.

We'd have to go back to posting pictures of owls?

Evil Villain's would have to find a new pet.

And the ensuing failure would cause the collapse of the Super Hero culture as we know it.

Cat haters will be tormented for eternity by Tacgnol. They'll be forced to toil endlessly in the catnip mines or made to create larger and larger balls of yarn.

NDP2: We'd have to go back to posting pictures of owls?

Where I live, owls and hawks are a definite risk. But since I keep my buddy in house, I don't have to worry too much.

2012-02-07 01:20:16 PM
So basically, "We need them to kill mice"? Pffft. If all the cats died, we'd have an incentive to build a better mousetrap (or more likely, better poisons).

2012-02-07 01:20:17 PM
ZAZ: High predation rates may not substantially reduce rodent populations. They are fast breeders and quickly reach the carrying capacity of the local ecosystem. If population goes down females have more food and produce more babies.

Predators are part of the local ecosystem. They also interfere with the prey animal's food collecting habits (less prey means more active hunting by predators).

Aliens, on the other hand...

FTFY. Just using any excuse to use the word "clowder."

Well, I guess I'd have a Coke, then.

/I actually love cats

2012-02-07 01:27:38 PM
The author has such a deep mind, I mean, what if any one species were to suddenly die off. Naw, not too big of a deal to an ecosystem, but cats whoa.....
/the world would also be much less cute.
