I don't care what your political beliefs are, if someone invites you for dinner, you don't insult their beliefs in their house. Very rude. If you can't shut the fark up, don't go.

There's a reason I always get Tucker Max and Tucker Carlson confused...

It was part of their plea bargain from way back.

Cagey B: Here's a quick tip. If you purchase a dinner for the explicit purpose of being an asshole to your host, you should kill yourself, because you're an insufferable prick with no value to society. If I don't like someone, I'll gladly tell them so, but I'm not going to go to their house, eat their food, drink their booze and then act like a dick.

Ever so much THIS. S'rsly.

RW douchebaggery is like RW ignorance in that I am never quite sure whether to be more appalled at the levels to which they are to be found or the absolute pride they seem to take in both. Bit of a toss up, really.

"If I'm being totally blunt, I'm appalled by them," he says.

That was a fascinating time (long ago) but they were dangerous. I have read about them and even then they were way off the scale even for SDS or VVAWWSO. I believe they would be considered a "terrorist organization" with reason.

/hippy dippy from that era.

Look up the names to decide for yourself. It was a different time and very volatile.

Charity donations. Which means Tucker gets to write off the cost of the event, meaning that Tucker's visit is taxpayer funded.

yes, perhaps. but the notable distinction is that Olbermann, in fact DID NOT DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT. Libs generally don't. Its one reason we are better.

Right, because Fark Liberals condemned the people that glitterbomb or pie their competition, or heckle them down so they don't even get a chance to speak. I would consider all of these as greater offenses then buying a dinner ticket or being obnoxious.

Or, as the other poster noted, Michael Moore's manipulative interview with a completely out of it Charleston Heston. Although Fark wasn't nearly as prominent then.

And finally, how bout the Savage-Santorum Google-bombing?

But no, call me stupid because you are too blinded by your partisanism to realize that maybe your party, no your team, can be even worse than those evil Republicans.

Yes. I do think It is uncalled for. And honestly I have little to no respect for the Tea Party and the way they typically behave. And, if you read my original post, in fact, I also said Tucker Carlson's act was uncalled for.

Typically in Tea Party threads, the viewpoint that the Tea Partiers are acting immaturely and out of line is an often stated one, and I don't waste my own time posting when the same viewpoint has already been shared so much as it really would add nothing unique to the conversation.

I am honored that you value my opinion so much that you want me to comment on every single thread reaching back the past 6 years that has something to do with people involved in politics acting out of line though.

The implication was that rather than condemn them they celebrated how "amusing" the events were, as you can look at any Santorum thread and clearly see. I apologize if I was not clear enough while implying this. I will dumb it down for you next time.

I quickly found that yes, Farkers did condemn glitter bombers. In this very thread is was pointed out the most people thought Moore's interview of Heston was tasteless. Hecklers, I'll give you that one since that's harder to search for.

Santorum's google bomb is childish, but not rude on any level near to your other examples and makes a fair political point.

In short, your "both sides are bad because I imagine they are" argument fails on most every level. Even if "both sides are bad" wasn't the grown up version of "all the other kids at school get to do it" you still couldn't pull it off.

Tucker was being dickish because he wanted to be a dick to someone. Dan Savage was reacting specifically to something disgusting Santorum said with something disgusting about Santorum. It's an entirely valid point and doesn't fall into either of the logical fallacies you tried, and failed, to pawn off.

I have been on Fark for about a decade, and on the Politics tab since the day it was created. I read, or at least skim, 75% of the Politics threads at least 350 days a year.

Why is this the very first time I've ever seen Jjaro post anything?

Santorum's google bomb is childish, but not rude on any level near to your other examples and makes a fair political point.

...and with this post, you've already outnumbered the number of Fark "Independents" who have criticized Rick Santorum for comparing gays to pedophiles and dog farkers. But let's hold the goofball sex columnist to a higher standard than a United States senator.

Is it me, or has Tucker Carlson stopped wearing a bowtie since Jon Stewart smacked him down on Crossfire?

/also, wondering if that is just his name, or what he does?
