Meanwhile. Duke considers lawsuit for trademark infringement.

2012-02-07 09:48:08 AM
Now he just needs to draft legislation making it illegal to be Dan Snyder within the city limits, and we'll be getting someplace.

Marion Barry is still around? He hasn't overdosed with some hooker in a burned out building somewhere?

I swear Dan Snyder being an owner is a conspiracy to make us not think Jerry Jones is the biggest prick on earth.

I'm a die-hard Redskins fan and this makes me laugh. Marion Barry didn't say anything that isn't true.

The only thing possibly worse than Dan Snyder making decisions for that organization is Marion Barry doing it...possibly.

Seriously, fark Dan Snyder with a rusty fireplace poker. (Please don't sue me, Dan).

It's okay, the whole Super Bowl was most of us saying the Browns suck ... and we're all from Cleveland. Sigh, we'll never have a winning sports team here ...

2012-02-07 11:08:31 AM
I've been a Redskins fan for a while. However,my short life means I've only experienced the Redskins of the 00s. I'm sticking to them, but I'm also in the "get rid of Snyder and Shanahan" camp. I preferred Jim Zorn honestly.

/at least my dad's a Giants fan

Lifelong Skins fan since the Sonny Jurgensen days. This is probably the most sense Marion Barry has ever made. Snyder needs to remember how Jack Kent Cooke did things.

I have to like the 'skins. My lass had some cousins who played with 'em.
Doesn't mean they don't blow moose, and Marion Barry is a hot pile of shiat.
But the idiots keep voting for him
so they get exactly what they deserve

If only. Team headquarters is in Ashburn, VA, and the stadium is in Landover, MD.

You can travel between the two without entering DC.

You have way too much faith in the average DC voter. There is a reason why they don't have voting rights in Congress.

Nope. Michigan passed a new ballot measure that says you can't hold office if you're a convicted felon.

It was our way of telling Detroit to knock it off.

This list is wrong. The Giants won in 1987, 1991, 2008, and 2012. They lost in 2001. That's 4-1, thanks.

Ugh, I feel really sorry for anyone who is a Redskins fan who has only experienced this shiatfest of the last Decade and change. They have missed the only reason why the rest of us retards still care. I honestly can't imagine how one could continue to be a Redskins fan without lingering memories of Doug Williams, Darryl Green, Art Monk, Riggo, etc...That's the only think that keeps me going, shiat that happened 20 years ago.

The list is also missing the Jacksonville Jaguars. They should be in the "never been to the Super Bowl" category.

Hell is a chilly place right now - I agree with and applaud an action by Marion Barry.

Superbowl 22 was the first game I ever watched as a very young lad. I fondly remember my dad bouncing me on his knee and singing hail to the redskins whenever they scored. I'm a fan for life... which right now is more of a curse than a blessing.

My son could never understand why, even years later I would occassionally fire up Madden '03 (the last year DG was on the roster) Play the 'Skins and at some point inthe game run a Pick 6 back back to the house while screaming Green's name in the same cadence other people use for "Leee-roy JENKINS"

the 80's-90's were a very good time to be a skins fan. Who knew then how blessed we were to have The Squire and Bobby Beatherd?

My uncle was the first one to introduce me to the NFL. The first game I can vividly remember is the Redskins beating the Buccaneers in a wild card matchup. They then lost to the Seahawks and haven't won a playoff game since. Still, basically our fanship of the Redskins is the only thing me and my uncle bond over, and since my dad is a Giants fan, it makes NFC East games in our house very fun to watch.

But yes, I wish I knew Super Bowl 22 other than from NFL Network reruns.

Barry has been at the front of a lot of good, and at the back of a lot of corruption. If there are degrees of corruption, most of his was "the kind that gets things done." But there was a lot of bloated payrolls and people getting jobs/roles they didn't qualify for. Sort of like under W, maybe.

He's a character, easy to lampoon, but not a reason to call DC voters any worse than, say, Illinois voters.

When he's good, he really does care about things, and when he's bad he's usually hilarious. In this case, he's completely right. Snyder isn't funny, doesn't love DC, and has produced a miserable, failing team that does nothing good except generate money, for him. I've hated Barry for years at a time, but between the two, I'd take him over Snyder any day.

lol That's were I went to check on New England's SB record. You'd think the NFL would have their own SB stats up-to-date. Guess not.

Their win/loss record doesn't matter. As long as they keep using that odious nickname, Berry's statement is 100% accurate.
