Rodriguez plunged six feet (1.83m) down into the open grave, smashing his leg on the hard casket below

So when they dig a grave they actually dig a hole six feet plus the height of the casket? I didn't know that. They should get overtime.

call me crazy, but when a big part of my job is to dig big holes, I think I would be on the lookout for big holes so I wouldn't fall into them. Kind of like when Ron White took his van to Sears Automotive and they forgot to tighten the lugnuts. Lugnuts are kind of a big deal when you're working with tires.

Did they have a nice chat with a grieving Danish prince while they were down there?

How could this possibly happen? 1 I could understand. The story is woefully lacking in details

There are two types of people in the world my friend.
Those with loaded guns, and those who dig.
You dig.

I was thinking the same thing... is it 6 ft to the top of the casket or the depth of the hole? I always thought it was the latter.

Any farker familiar with burial laws care to chime in?

Three others "fell" in?

Sounds like a start to a funny movie.

If they really fell six feet to the top of the casket, I would guess that it is a double depth vault, and they were finishing up placing the first casket.

Well, the same thing happened to me. Month old 2011 MB GL 350, vandalized by ex-Mrs Farxist. Went in to the shop, two months and $12k later drove it out of the shop. Made it about five miles and the front drivers-side wheel fell off and zipped about 500 feet through a busy intersection without hitting anything. The wheel ripped off the fender and alos lots of damage to the brake and suspension system. That was a $5k mistake, including car rental for a month, that probably cost at least two people their jobs.

That farkin car is jinxed. I should give it to the ex.

You must have at least 30 inches of dirt coverage over the vault, so either they dug the grave unnecessarily deep or he has weak bones. I work at a cemetery. Ask me anything.
