In other news, "closed for the winter" now = "abandoned."
That park is still very much in operation.

Spot on wspguy... pass by White Water daily and it's a huge draw in the Summer. It's not shocking these guys can enter the park so easily either... property is bordered by I-75 and a ratty old business park on the back side. You can park there, hop a fence and go undetected for a few hours as the main offices are at the front of the park. I guess they don't have cameras though- security does patrol from what i can gather.
That huge funnel ride is the latest addition and pretty awesome - like a giant toilet bowl and you're the turd. They have a speed slide not to far from there - love to see these guys try that one next time.

In your dreams,Rex. Any platform that gives you grips (bikes/scooters) or attaches diectly to the feet (fruit boots/snowboards) will always be less cool than a platform that seems to defy the laws of physics and gravity and is not attached to the feet. So when a fruiter can unstrap his heelies and do something this awesome, without using hands or straps to keep the boots underfoot, out from under, flipping, spinning, back underfoot, then we can start this debate from more equal footing. Till then:

Like what has been pointed out, that is white water and you can still go there and is quite popular. It has to be summer though. Would figure they would have security....and yeah, that Vortex ride is great, along with the "Lazy River" and the huge wave pool. Hardest part is the eye bleech needed for all the fat gross people that think they can wear next to nothing like dem "skinny girls do". Get over that and it is reasonably priced and pretty fun.

That is where I first saw it, and looked for it as such. I think Utility may have glommed onto the day and shot their own footage. Though alot of it looks like the Built to Shred stuff I remember seeing.

"fruit boot"? Really?!?
Here's a hint, you're on the same level as high school football players that call high school soccer players "foot fairies". If you're cool with that, then more power to you. But honestly, you're exactly the same.
Congratulations on becoming what you most despise.
/not a "fruit booter" (Ah hell, I'm embarrassed for you even using it in mockery)

I skate and played high school football. Why do you assume skaters despise jocks? Maybe you were bullied because you view high school as a caste system. Or maybe it's because you're a whiny little biatch who played soccer. People hate on rollerblading because it sucks not because it's gay. But you have to admit, it is at least a little gay.

Watch out girls, Justin Bieber can skate. His low center of gravity meant the pint sized pop grains (?) can bust some rad shakes on his deck

On the one hand, it looks like they had a lot of fun. They were outside, getting some exercise, and they didn't endanger innocent bystanders.
On the other hand:
1) wear some damn safety gear, you're going to break your fool necks
2) good job videotaping your trespass

You know what is nice about doing aerial tricks on a skate board? If you f*ck it up you can bail out. When you are strapped in or flying through the air with ~50lbs of metal you are committed to success or pain.

Calm down, son. Not everything needs to be polarized into some odd lesson in sociology and hate. Fruit boots, dick sticks, metaller pedalers have all been names bandied about between skaters, bikers, bladers since they started to merge in some odd Venn like way at parks. It's the odd knock that really isn't some hateful word like you perceived. There's really much better social policing needed in the politics forum. I can't speak for the rest of the skate, or any community, but for me, I never had open hate or animosity towards bikes/blades whatever at a park or in the street riding. Actually felt a kind of kinship in that 'we're all out here falling down hard trying things most people never would'. Things like handrails are universal to street riders on any platform. And from that comes a lot of mutual respect, and a bit of inter platform needling.
So if I busted your choice of riding's balls, and by default you, it wasn't done out of hate! I save that for the politics forum.

Speaking as one of "most people", there is a pretty good reason for that.
