Zuckerberg's home state of California also carves off a big slice, hitting those with incomes of $1 million or more with a 10.3% income tax.

Why does anyone work in California? I'd make it a point to never legally reside in California for tax purposes.

Why would anyone live in Minnesota in the winter. I'd make it a point not to live under six feet of snow.

I look forward to the day where I get hit with that tax. I'll take the sting out of the 10.3% loss with a couple of hookers and a weekend on a yacht.

Income tax is high, but property tax is one of the lowest in the nation. EX (numbers pulled out of my tuckas)

5% income tax on a $1,000,000 income in another state is $50,000/year
3% tax on a $10,000,000 house in another state is $300,000/year
You get about 1/3rd of your property taxes back from the feds, so $200,000/year

Total, $250,000/year

VS

10% tax on a $1,000,000 income in California is $100,000/year
But 1% tax on a $10,000,000 house in California is $100,000/year
You get about 1/3rd of your property taxes back from the feds, so $66,666/year

Total $166,666/year

Well, just because he has a refund due that is going to cover it, doesent mean he doesent pay it.

He still has to pay that half a billion, no? I mean, its HIS at the moment, and it wont be when he pays it.
