At some point, all those hours spent playing GTA have to be tested.

I don't know why, and I know it's crazy, but I've always wanted to rob an armoured car. For some reason whenever I see one parked beside a bank or refilling an ATM I always think about it. Maybe while the driver is taking a leak or loading up an ATM I'd pick the door lock, (which should be a cinch once I throw a few more perks into lockpicking) start it up and drive off. Maybe take it down to Mexico. Or just joy ride around town.
This guy is an inspiration to everyone who has had an impossible dream. He's also completely nuts.

It would have been funny getting into foot chase with a cop when I was training for cross country and track. Maybe I could have recreated the chase scene from Superbad.

With how eager the cops are to shoot, taze, or pepper spray you for no reason, I'm not sure I'd be so willing to start a chase. Good on him for distracting the cops for a while though. It probably lowered the number of neighbourhood dogs shot until they caught him.

I've always wanted to do that too. My plan included convincing a judge it would be a good surprise training excercise for the local PD first though to avoid all that jail time.

That's funny. In wonder what the charges were? Speeding, reckless driving, failure to yield to a police car, failure to pull over? (or however it's said). Probably resisting arrest, too.

When I was but a boy, I always wondered what they could charge me with if I was walking in the park or something, crossed in front of a police officer, made eye contact with a panicked look on my face, and bolted off as fast as I could. If he gave chase and managed to take me down, what would he be able to charge me with?

Every time the plane banked too sharply on take-off or landing, I prayed for a crash, or a mid-air collision -- anything. No more haircuts. Nothing matters, not even bad breath. . . . Life insurance pays off triple if you die on a business trip.

I think that's the joke. He doesn't give two shiats what happens to him because he's a miserable bastard. To him they are just like points in a video game. It's the same reason he buys all the furniture. He only cares about these things because he thinks he is supposed to.

Except he was in freaking Montana. 100 mph on the interstate wouldn't get you pulled over normally. There has to be someone to actually slam into for this to be a problem.

Few people understand the psychology of dealing with a highway traffic cop. A normal speeder will panic and immediately pull over to the side. This is wrong. It arouses contempt in the cop heart. Make the bastard chase you. He will follow. But he won't know what to make of your blinker signal that says you are about to turn right. This is to let him know you're pulling off for a proper place to talk. It will take him a moment to realize that he's about to make a 180 degree turn at speed, but you will be ready for it. Brace for the g's, and fast heel-toe work.

When I was a teenager, two friends of mine tried this. There were two cops that had parked and were out on the side of the road doing something. Maybe waiting for someone who knows. I can't quite remember.
At any rate, we were inside a coffee shop. So they burst open the door, looked at the cops, and ran like the wind.
They didn't even move a muscle. Completely ignored them.
I think there's a certain amount of intuition. Like, you can just tell if someone's actually running away for a valid reason. Also, it was a smaller town, so the cops probably knew all the kids who
would
actually run if they saw them, and my doofus friends weren't one of them.

Used to drive/ride in one. Not that easy. Typical policy is that as long as there is any money on board, someone must be in the truck at all times (usually the driver) If the driver has to go potty, the guy in the barn (the back) comes around front a then the driver gets out. (the back and front are seperated by a wall) (Also been known to pee in soda bottles when you can't get out). The moment the key is turned in either the side or the front door, an alarm sounds in the cab. Don't know what policy is now, but in my Wells Fargo days in Georgia we were required to have our weapon drawn at all times until money was loaded...
BTW, you know how heavy a $1000.00 bag of quarters are? They suck!
/Horrible job, made $5.25 an hour to be a target. Made much more as a cop. Hated being a cop, it's why I'm a network engineer now.

They had him court like the next day (it was either the next day or 2 days later), he pled guilty to something, and they fined him $1000. Made a big deal about how he got that big fine too, since the way things are around here, half the town might decide that's a fine way to pass a long winter evening too.
