I have had to deal with these damn street racers over the Howard Franklin bridge late at night. Scum. It warms my heart to see them plowed over like that. Score one for the drunk guy!

Im torn here. The racing tards deserve to be mowed down for general stupidity but the drunk driver should be pulled from his wrecked vehicle and beaten within an inch of his sorry life for the same reason. So who wins when both sides are stupid as fark?

You get a driving ban and you get a driving ban and you get a driving ban.

Idiots. Whose car accelerates slightyly faster doesn't mean shiat. Take your cars to a racing track, there are enough of those around. But then you might have to navigate corners and that is like cryptonite to Americans. Or American built cars at least.

There are several automobile plants listed in the US. I do wonder if lucksi has ever driven an American car or if he just likes to parrot Jeremy Clarkson and thinks everything he says is true.

I drive a stock 1990 civic hatchback. I don't race it I commute to work in it. It turns in 36-38mpg without fail. You'd be surprised (or perhaps you wouldn't) at how many young idiots in pimped out hondas or whatever pull up next to me and want to race. Didn't watch the whole video the commentary was too good to listen to.

2012-02-07 07:37:28 AM
Really strange, the whole thing happens again at 2:07 into the video.

What are the odds of that!?

2012-02-07 07:49:13 AM
...Parked in what looks like the middle of a highway... and surprised that someone blasts into you... stupidity.

Really, you know how quick you catch up to a stopped car on the highway at lets say 65mph... Especially when the vehicles in question didn't have their brake lights lit up as to be stopped/slowing, therefor enhancing the illusion that the vehicles are still moving (checked for 3rd brakelight, saw none, unless I'm blind...) Just saying, it could've been a sober driver looking down at the radio/mindwandering, and the result would have been the same, idiots stopped in the middle of the highway get run over... Just look at highway chain-reaction vids on youtube for proof...

Idiots who streetrace deserve to lose their cars, not their lives, but their cars... Keep it on the track, like myself.

At first i was like: 2 and a half mins??? i dont wanna sit through this for 5 seconds of action.

And then while i wondered that it happend and i had to scroll it back a few times.

\are we sure the driver was drunk? Parked in the middle of the freeway is an easy way to get reamed by someone coming out from behind a big truck or van.
\\Ricey little buckets like that are cool when your 15. You look like a retard getting out of one of those things if your anywhere over 25.

2012-02-07 07:55:39 AM
Yes, I have driven some American cars. A Chevy whatthecrap and an Oldsmobile tank.

The Oldsmobile was like an old man with a walker. Even when flooring it, you didn't notice any increase in acceleration. Generally, it was like driving a water bed. Comfy and wavy.

Also some car with the gear changer behind the steering wheel. I have no idea what model or make it was, but that stuck with me. Oh and a pickup of also unknown (after all these years) model or maker.

Also, yes, I think that Hondas made in the US are American cars. I have driven several Fords produced in Germany and I would have never seen those as American cars either.

Whoa, whoa, whoa...here...you mean to tell me that sitting in the middle of the road revving your engine can potentially cause other drivers to run into you? Noooooo...

I hope the guy was chraged with DUI and all parties involved in the street race were charged with reckless endangerment, stopping in the middle of a road (non emergency), street racing, and accessed a general stupidity fee

I am certain there were street racers who raced by my Newto Haven apartment window the same time every weekday night at 11 pm for one year, so I for one am completely ambivalent about this and more appalled about people suggesting vigilante punishments on those involved.

Especially after I put in the piggyback chip system that gave it about another 70hp, I often can't resist if there isn't any traffic. I'll usually just squirt from 60-90 to show them that no matter how big of a butthole you put on it, it's still a Civic.

Lotus Elise, provided that it's a curvy track, although they've upped their price a bit as of late.

You appear to be unaware of all the studies comparing cornering performance and solid rear axles. As long as mustangs come with solid rear axles they're going to be jokes on twisties. You can dress them up and work them over and make them perform very well for a solid axle, but if they had a good rear suspension they'd perform better on curves. There isn't a single high-end car built for turns that is built with a solid axle unless the class rules of the class they want to be in require it.

Solid axles are good for: rock-crawling and drag racing.

Independent rear suspensions are better for everything else.

The Caterham Super Seven does that easily. Sevens are monster track cars. The fastest version, the R500, outmatches supercars and hangs with hypercars.

$45K? The R300 version fits that. And yeah, it's street legal in the US. I asked Caterham personally. No, really.

Also, what Explodo said.

Oh look, the Atom has problems in one state in the US, therefore ruling it out. Funny though, the Atom is road legal in Germany and the track version of the Boss isn't. The Boss can only be driven on the track here and is not allowed on the road. And no, I'm not making this up. Also, it costs 57k Euro to buy it, long shot from the 45k $, but I'm not surprised by that price policy in the least.

So, Lotus has already been mentioned, how about Caterham?

Oh no, I'm still comparing cars that everyone can buy with a special limited version of some US car. Still not fair I guess.

Yay, doublepost. So not only are you ruling out the Atom because you might get problems in one state, the tard that wrote the site got the Atom as a kit and not a fully built one.
So, sweetcheecks, if you bought the Boss as a kit, you'd have to go through the same process.

I did in the post prior to yours. Foreveralone.jpg.

I really love the Super Seven. Eventually I want to buy one as a kit. I could buy one right now but I'd rather replace my aging DD instead. Can't afford both at the moment.

Would have been better if both vehicles, or even the third, had burst into flame, and the retards filming ran over, and were also killed in the huge fireball as both gas tanks went. And only the vid remained as a testament to their stupidity.

Evidently you have forgotten your initial generalization of American cars and the entire basis of my point while confirming that you are, in fact, another European douche making broad generalizations of something American. You acknowledge the Boss 302 for what it is; an awesome, street legal, production track vehicle priced well below where it places, which you can't dismiss without making yourself look like an even bigger douche.
