A North Korean drone is exactly like an R/C airplane, except it randomly crashes into the Sea of Japan. When attempting to fire upon a target, the round fired will immediately find its way to the drone's operator.

Call me when they have a global satellite network to control them.

If you're worried about what North Korea might do with this technology, Google "Kaengsaeng 88."

North Korean drone BEST drone!

2012-02-06 03:07:38 PM
If they fly anything like they drive, we're cool.

2012-02-06 03:26:50 PM
Yeah, but North Korea doesn't have any oil and isn't a threatening counterbalance to the power of the region- Israel, so it's all good.

2012-02-06 03:41:58 PM
Are you suggesting we attack North Korea? Are you crazy! They have nuclear weapons!

Kim Jong-Un invented the drone.

This is extra funny considering that this is the fourt h headline on with the word "Iran" today.

2012-02-06 04:09:33 PM
So they have a bunch of flying things we use for target practice?

We are already probably pretty good at shooting those down.

2012-02-06 04:21:45 PM
If Kim Jong-Un doesn't eat it first.

Diogenes: If they fly anything like they drive, we're cool.

Irrelevant. Haven't you seen pics of the place, no one drives there period

This is a silly article. These drones tow targets so that Air Defense Artillery can have target practice. I am sure they can be weaponized but the article makes it sound like they have stolen state of the art technology that will kill us all.

2012-02-06 04:41:50 PM
Funny how the article fails to mention that that drone model is a thirty five year old target drone.

Must just be an oversight.

I thought all drones were targets.

Hopefully Best Korea will be as stringently ethical with their use as we are.

Knowing them, the capability will be right up there with a 1970s Radio Shack remote control airplane.

I'm confused, is Fox News trying to incite fear and loathing against North Korea now? I thought Iran was the approved subject for the beat of the war drums these days.

target drones. You know, the ones we shoot down for practice. I don't see this as much of a problem.

For their sake, the drones better use sadness and despair as fuel.

If it runs off of broken dreams and shattered hopes we're all in big trouble.

Since it's on Fox News... I'm now begining to doubt that the U.S.A. has ever had drones.

Yeah... sure they are. I am sure we have a lot to be afraid of, and stuff. Everybody pan... zzzzz

Are unmanned drones really such a complicated concept that they have to be "reverse engineered"?

2012-02-06 05:09:00 PM
Per TFA, We've been selling them to various middle eastern countries for a long time now. I wouldn't be too worried about how "high tech" these drones are.

Here's a great article called "Journey into Kimland." (new window) It was written by a teacher who went to the Arirang festival in Pyongyang. He also speaks fluent Korean, so he had a chance to talk to some of the locals when his tour "guides" weren't paying attention. It's really interesting.

No one in the administration said that, implied it, or demonstrated it. Quite the opposite. I can only conclude that you're an ignorant buffoon.

There's nothing miraculous about the technology involved in producing drones.

Being able to build and maintain them with a most collapsed economy is going to be difficult.

And their biggest advantage seems to be against people without an airforce. Put these up against the US military and we'd swat them out of the air in the first couple of minutes.

So knock yourelves out Best-Korea.

What will their drones be made out of, coconuts and bamboo?

Yes, thirty-year old crap designed 40 years ago.

This is an old drone used for target practice that is in the possession of a lot of countries. This isn't something they smuggled in secret, we've already KNOWN they've had these for a while.

North Korea went nuclear because ole W took his eye off the ball by getting bogged down in Iraq, and the world didn't dissolve into radioactive fire. Let me know when Iran gets ICBM capability and I'll start to get worried.
