Why would Yale have to have a week to explain sex to the students? A 1/2 hour on YouPorn and they would learn all they need.
Take sex out of school and put it back in the gutter where most Farkers learned about it.

It never ceases to surprise me how many people are perfectly willing to display their Stupid publicly, and under their own Facebook login too. It makes it easier for the rest of us to weed them out when talking to people though.

You know, it sounds prudish and lame, but college students seem to have, in general, figured out f*cking. They do need help at avoiding STIs and unintentional pregnancy, sure, and I'm all for rigorous sexual education.
However, people do not come out of school, college, whatever, intrinsically knowledgeable of starting, growing, and maintaining relationships. How many people have you met that as an engaged couple or newlyweds couldn't even bring up their problems, financial plans, desires about children, etc? You hear people lament the boredom of marriage, the pain of divorce, the isolation of single parenthood... and yet where does all that come from?
People don't know how to actually build loving relationships beyond infatuation. I'm not going to snicker at the "true love week" folks for no reason... it is a worthy goal. Just don't ignore the problem of STIs, dating violence, unwanted pregnancy, etc...

You'll likely get divorced from anyone you married from college. Enjoy yourself. You can't do college twice.

Came here to say that. These are probably the same people who demand abstinence-only sex ed in school, and can't understand why kids might need some more practical education.

It depends on if they're attending. Once all the students are coming, they can all start learning.

From the comments:
Timothy Larkin · University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
The professors are not leading the students. In many cases, the professors encourage amorality. If I were the chancellor, I would abolish all such clubs. I would then have a campus-wide Bible reading. I would then discipline or kick out any students that protested.

I had lots of sex in college. The best sex was typically unprotected with repeat partners, which meant committed relationships. Can't be going raw dog on every skank you take home from the bar...

Not necessarily. I debated for a few years. The "masters" were usually dicks. Of course, they practiced debating a lot.
I'm not saying I didn't, but I pursued other interests so I wouldn't have to debate, if you know what I mean.

I can explain true love in college in a lot shorter than a week, it's more like a couple sentences:
If you're in college and thing you've found true love, you're an idiot. GTFO and GBTW, loser.
//If you're still in the relationship and still happy with it a decade after you've both entered the work force,
then
you may start, tentatively, using that word in anything but ironic context.

There's no evidence to support this claim. In fact, college educated people have a lower divorce rate than the general population. Educated people who wait until they are a bit older to marry have the lowest divorce rate. And you are far more likely to meet the right person in college than afterward. This is why so many people have difficulty finding a spouse after they get out into the "real world." All of the couples I know who I know will never divorce met in college.
Consider, too, that you never make friends like the ones you make in college or before. So, you are dead-on right that you only go to college once and you need to make the most of it. It is a time when we are free of most parental encumbrances and have the freedom to explore ourselves and find our own path through life. It really isn't the time for "true love." But if you do meet Mr. or Mrs Right, have fun with them, too, and worry about "the relationship" later.
