The Life of Brian (new window) was banned in many places for various reasons, mostly for balsphemy. Strangely, Wikipedia makes no mention of banning due to full frontal male nudity.

the UAE should be commended for banning Sexless In The City 2. Scary that they were the ONLY nation to ban that horse-slaughter fest

Most disturbing is Communist China banning Avatar and any "time travel film". Disturbing, because so many here in the US are such suck-ups for the Communist Chinese....especially the Free Trade w Communist China crowd. The ChiCom apologosts I am sure will have some crapzoid reason why every thing they do is OK...and how America sucks.

Paths of Glory was not shown in France until 1975 due mainly to its unflattering portrait of the French military during WWI.
