I predict that the Patriots will win given the current betting lines. Pats -135 Giants +115.

I'm just watching to have an excuse to drink, like there is a need for such a thing as an excuse.

/and to see if Madonna absolutely blows
//i predict she will

Shock the world? The Giants are three point underdogs. I hardly think a victory by them would conststitute one of the greatest upsets in the gistory of the game.

Giants by 7.

You heard it here first...

...Only because the thread is really really young.

Surapa, one of the elephants at the Buffalo Zoo, picked the Patriots to win. Surapa is a jerk.

Even though I hate the Manning Bros. with a passion I hate the entire Patriots organization more.

Go Giants!

2012-02-05 09:18:03 AM
I do hope the Giants win because seriously, fark the Patriots. But smart money is probably on the Pats.

The Super Bowl of threads deserves the Super Bowl of hotties. Naturally, the MVP should be posted first.

Subby, this time around it won't be shocking if the Giants win.
However, the Pats blowing out the Giants would be shocking since the Giants have better individual players all over.

A Pats win would be nice though. It would mean that Brady has a chance to go to five championships. Wouldnt that make him the greatest of his generation?

I have to agree. Despite the bevy of gorgeous and famous women we see today, there is something about Marilyn (and most famous women of her era) that really sets them on a whole other level.

Am I the only one who can't get the ESPN pregame show? The knobslobberers at Time Warner won't tell me why that's the only channel I'm not getting. And I didn't even call the halfwit on the support chat any names. He really just didn't farking know anything.

I watched part of the honors thing last night. A little bit of dust blew into the room around the time Matt Birk won the Walter Payton Award, and then again when they honored NFL'ers who passed last year.

I hope the Patriots do this.

No dog in this fight but I'll watch anyway since it's the last game before the void of no football comes. Should be a good game.

What's everyone making tonight? I'm stuck in a hotel in San Francisco for the game so I can't even get drunk with friends but at least I could cook something good (and drink). I need some ideas cause I'm drawing a blank. All I have is 2 burners though. No oven.

I personally have come around to NFL Network's pregame/postgame shows this year. Give them a try if they're available.

You can always tell if a Disney-owned company is showing a major sporting event. If it does, the time ESPN gives is kickoff (tip-off, etc). If it doesn't, the time ESPN gives is when the pre-game starts.

2012-02-05 11:44:14 AM
And I got that backwards.

I will not be at a computer during the game. But I can't tell you how much I hope that tonight's scene is a repeat of this...

Pretty much everyone I'm watching the game with is either a Jets fan or not a big football person. I've already apologized in advance.

My predictions:

-I will be shiatfaced well before kickoff.
-The commercials will be an overall disappointment again this year.
-Bob Costas will grandstand over at least 7 topics which he has little if any clue about.
-The broadcast team will utter the word "epic" at least 74 times during the 10 hours of coverage.
-They will utter the name "Tebow" a minimum of 800 times, as per their contract.
-Despite the game being played indoors, at least one on-air personality will mention that he doesn't believe weather will be a factor.
-Madonna will suck epically. Then, she'll perform at halftime.
-Dozens of farkers will flock to this thread to point out repeatedly how much they don't care about football.
-At least one defensive touchdown will be scored in the game.
-In an effort to finally cement himself as an "elite" quarterback, Peyton Manning's little brother will have an excellent game against the suspect New England secondary.
-I will eat pizza.
-The game will be fought valiantly by both sides until, with the clock winding down late in the fourth quarter, things will be thrown into chaos as Madonna's vagina attempts to devour Tom Brady. Gisele Bundchen will come to his aide, clad only in a fur bikini and uggs, and the two will battle it out on the 50 yard-line as National Guard troops stand by helpless to stop their onslaught. Slightly less evil will triumph, as Gisele speaks the sacred chant which will send Madonna back to the parallel dimension she escaped from in the early 1980s, and all will rejoice.
-Giants 38, Patriots 35.

Add that Chris Collingsworth will make a sexual innuendo about one or more of the players during the game. I'm betting on Gronkowski. (tight end and all)
