Don't believe everything you read in that article.

I'd make a joke about dodging a bullet, but it involves time travel and Libyans.

I believe Tom Wilson said it best, in song form: "Back to the Future 4? NOT HAPPENING! STOP ASKING ME THE QUESTION!"

I can't stand musicals. I must be lacking that connection in my brain.

But think how many stuntmen they could maim with fantastic hoverboard action!

Normally when a kooky idea like this comes up, I say don't let it bother you, the movie is still out there, you can enjoy it just the same as you always did.

However this was such a bad idea I'm pretty sure it had the power to ruin the movie, and perhaps several other things I enjoy.

It seems like every year a classic movie gets made into a musical, and for the most part, aside from a blurb on the evening news (or a headline on Fark), I never hear anything more about it (probably because it's being done by some off-Broadway hacks for a lark). To this day, The Producers and the Spider-Man musical are the only ones I can name that got heavy attention. So what I'm saying is, you probably would have gotten over it.

And now for what I like to call, Thought Cancer.

With the year 2015 coming up, we find ourselves at a historic moment in time traveling cinema lore. This of course is the year Doc and Marty went to the future from dear old 1985. So to celebrate this momentous occasion we should do what we always do to great movies from our youth.

REMAKE!

But this will be a very special remake indeed. Appearing together for the first time in movies history. Michael Cera as Marty Mcfly and Jesse Eisenberg as George McFly! With the all new Chevy Volt as the Delorian and Ed Helms as Doc Brown!

This concludes Thought Cancer.

Even though I am gladdened that this project seems to be dead, I still need to ask:

Why does EVERYTHING need to be a musical? And this is coming from someone who likes musical.

galactus5000: Why does EVERYTHING need to be a musical?

Because if everything didn't get one, we might not have gotten this one.

Britney Spear's Speculum: I can't stand musicals. I must be lacking that connection in my brain.

The old great ones are pretty good: Singin in the Rain, On the Town, South Pacific.

The problem with most modern ones is that you don't have great songwriters doing musicals. Back in the 40s there wasn't much of a record industry. You made more money writing for musicals, so the talent was there. Today, you make more writing for Christina Aguillera, so you get shiat like Lloyd-Webber songs.

Someone played me a recording of Les Miserables and there's 1 good number in there. South Pacific has 7.

The only 3 modern musicals I like are Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut.

I doubt it. In fact it could probably work pretty well if done right. If they can create the illusion that Chitty Chitty Bang Bang can fly, I can only imagine the possibilities of what they could dream up for BTTF.

And just think of all the catchy songs they could come up with:

'Hello McFly, Hello'
'My Mom's Got it Going On'
'Your My Density'
'What, are We Assholes in the Future?'

Classic misdirection.

"There's just one thing you forgot about this musical, Biff. WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!?!"

I've got a great line for one of those songs:

"We're gonna seeeee some seeeriouuuuus shiat!"

(everyone bows)

Cabaret, but the movie more than the play.

It's pretty obvious what has happened here. The musical debuted sometime in 2014, and it was so awful that someone had to go back in time and shut the whole thing down before it ever finished getting off the ground.

I'm ok with this, because it is was a success you know the Universal would be going full steam ahead on a reboot.

There should be a Gremlins Musical. That way if something goes wrong during the show, everyone can claim it is part of it! Hell, an audience member's cell phone rings, must've been a Gremlin.

Look up a guy called Goldentusk on YouTube. He does musical themes for classics and they're great but I don't see anyone being able to drag them out for more than ten minutes.

Sorry but that's bullshiat.

You must be going to the wrong shows.

Worse... he mentioned Justin Bieber as Marty in the article... which is my worst nightmare, along with Tom Green as Doc.

There are shows in the works right now that are based on material that would blow your mind.

BTTF is nothing compared to what you will see in the next few years.

B^F Novelization

For those who haven't seen it, the above review of an early novelization of B^F is fantastically amazing. Nuclear apocalypse, time-traveling refrigerators, thin wormy lips. THIS BOOK HAS IT ALL.

The guy voicing Marty is freaky good.

Also, there's a "To Be Continued" after the end credits in episode 5. Does this mean season two is on the way?
