This is as stupid and boring as Tebowing and planking.

OTOH, this Lion King-related clip usually gives me a cruel chuckle when I'm in sociopath mode.

Holy shiat, people are stupid.

2012-02-04 09:52:35 PM
There's stupidity, then there's lending credence to it by giving it any kind of publicity.
i promised myself i would never post in a thread where there was a discussion regarding the 'next internet meme'.
i have broken my promise.

Was Michael screaming? Did the kid bite him and this is why he is holding it over the rail, trying to use gravity to pry it from his frail arm?

Actually no. That's what Japanophiles tell themselves to feel superior.

The Lion King is just Hamlet with lions.

I cannot even imagine trying to do that to a mastiff. They'd be confused and would try to eat the bread. Plus a human would have to use the entire loaf and then some because a standard slice of bread would fit inside of a mastiff's mouth without too much bending.

Ha...I'd do this with my gfriends kitty. I'd hold her way up so she can kill moths, flies, spiders....amazing quickness. In a blink of an eye she'd snatch the bug from mid air and already be chewing on its carcass.

michaelkristopeit: i've been eating cinnamon all day... i'm not cutting edge anymore????

Listen, let's make internet history and start a new meme.

I'm thinking about Cinnamon Kinging? No?

Maybe Lion Cinnamoning? Yeah, that will be totally cool.

Jamdug!: That movie was apparently ripped off from a Japanese series. (new window)

We spoke to Fred Ladd (new window) at an anime convention who was involved in bringing Kimba the White Lion to the US.

He said basically all the Disney animators had Kimba stuff on their desks and so forth.
He said Disney paid a donation to the Tezuka museum and the Tezuka estate stayed out of it.

'I think that everyone with a cat or a small dog has done it before,' said Jeff Wysaski, a blogger on Pleated-jeans.com who made a viral video of the phenomenon from clips other pet owners had posted on YouTube.

We should change the ex post facto laws and the Copyright Term Extension Act, which protects copyrights for the life of the author plus 50 years to 500 years, so William Shakespeare's descendents can sue Disney for copyright violations.

I dunno. I think there's an argument to be made that holding yourself in stupid poses and posting photos of yourself doing it online as if you're SOOOO witty is a FAD, but there's no point in singling out the individual dippy poses. It's just a longstanding fad.

A longstanding, stupid fad.

How did I know, without even looking, what Lion Kinging would be? God, the internet is predictable.

2012-02-04 10:15:10 PM
I can only get behind this if its an animated GIF that ends with the pet being drop kicked off pride rock.

ah, and hence the terror for the cat. it probably runs for cover when it hears the music. Conditioned response, similar to Pavlog's dogs thing
