Once again confirming voter ID laws are unnecessary. Individual voters have little power to commit widespread and effective voter fraud in an election. It's a high risk low reward crime. Scrutiny should be paid to those in charge of the voting process, as exampled here, once again.

There's a community organizer who leads a life of danger,
To everyone he meets, he stays a stranger.
With every fraud he makes,
Another vote he takes.
Sure you voted early but you'll vote again tomorrow.

Secret Acorn Man,
Secret Acorn Man,
He'll register Mickey Mouse,
Vote fraud is his game.

He's right...Republicans have been far more upstanding when it comes to keeping ineligible voters in their caging. Katharine Harris is one of those heroes who made sure that felons couldn't vote. She was so dedicated that she made sure that people with the same NAME as a felon were ineligible to vote.

Republicans will stop at nothing to make sure all votes are counted.

I hate to say it, but Democrats are all but dead in this state. Local media outlets have ignored this story, and criticism of what Daniels has done to the state is virtually non-existent.

From the transcriptions at Nuremberg, 1946, alternate history version:

"And I'll tell you another thing," Hitler said, face flushed, banging his fist on the table, "those Jews will commit genocide...actual genocide...they will try to wipe out the entire German race. Unimaginable! But there it is. They are committed to the destruction of an entire people, for no other reason than that they were born. Now do you understand the nature of the threat?"

I myself have no idea which side, if either, is "mainly responsible", but you seem to be making an objectively verifiable statement. Do you have any sort of references or data to support your claim?

No he doesn't. Voter ID fraud is a near non-existent issue. The fraud that is committed in elections is done by voting officials who can 'lose' ballots, or find them when deemed convenient.

He may point to Mickey Mouse being registered or the 100's of thousands of dead people left on registration roles, and while it is true that these people are eligible and registered to vote, it doesn't matter because they don't vote.

And remember, REGISTRATION fraud doesn't count, because registration fraud can not alter elections.

The Democrats in this state have been actively pursuing getting him removed from Office since before he ran! He was just told to remove himself from office last month, but he's fighting it to the Indiana Supreme Court.

would you care to prove that with facts? Not voter registration, but actual voter fraud. The last case I recall was in my home state of California, and it involved a Republican.

If you have a list of Democrats convicted of voter fraud (once again, not registration, actual voter fraud) I'd love to see it.

"I have chosen not to make a permanent appointment today out of respect for the judge's authority to lessen the verdict to a misdemeanor and reinstate the elected office holder," the Republican governor said in the news release.

That sounds like a really awkward way of saying "We want the judge to reduce his felonies to misdemeanors and reinstate him".

Take your bets! Will tenpoundsofcheese:

Leave the thread entirely!
Find one or two flimsy examples and claim victory, despite him claiming that liberals 'mainly' perpetrate fraud. Bonus if they're from decades ago.
Ignore the fact that registration fraud is different from voter fraud, and/or spout nonsense about ACORN or something.

Yup. I really love the talking points that illegal aliens vote. These guys have trouble getting the docs to drive, have checking accounts, etc. how do they manipulate the system to vote?

Why would people who could manipulate it hunt down illegals for the job?

It makes no sense.

Some did.

Naples resident Yvonne Wigglesworth is also a not a citizen, but is registered to vote. She claims she doesn't know how she got registered.

"I have no idea. I mean, how am I supposed to know."

Records show Wigglesworth voted six times in elections dating back eleven years.

Here are four from a quick and simple google search.

- West Virginia Sheriff, Clerk Snared in Vote Fraud Investigation

- The report finds that 113 individuals who voted illegally in the 2008 election have been convicted of the crime, "ineligible voter knowingly votes" under Minnesota Statute 201.014.

- Four NY Democrats Plead Guilty to Voter Fraud

- NAACP official convicted of voter fraud

Congratulations. You found 1 example, and I am sure you could probably find 10, 20, maybe even 100 more. That doesn't make it a realistic problem. That's not even a statistical blip in any election that these votes would affect.

The West Virginia citation above was a case where the voter fraud in fact changed the election. It was reversed only when the fake ballots were disputed.

"A judge later threw out more than 300 contested absentee ballots, reversing Bowman's initial victory and securing the nomination for incumbent Circuit Clerk Charles Brumfield."

Bowman was one of the ones convicted of voter fraud.
