I'm not a legalize-it guy, but this shiat is just stupid. A 60 year-old man with four plants, estimated at $12K? It will cost more than $12K for all the cops, lawyers, and judges who will be involved in this case. How is that a win?

police dig up the plant and weigh the dirt...thus increasing the descriptive size of the plant and it's potential output...and of course it's not dried out either...one goodly sized well endowed plant, post-harvest would dry up to a pound, and I'm being generous here. A pound of killer may run 2k...highly doubtful this poolside setup was anything but maintenance weed. ;-)

No, the cops just love their anti-drug laws a bit too much. Hell, they probably get nothing at home, busting people for drugs is the only way they get their jollies.

The first law of growing marijuana is that you don't tell anyone that you are growing marijuana.

The second law of growing marijuana is that you don't do it where just anyone can see you doing it.

The third law of growing marijuana is that if you get jacked, either as a seller or buyer, YOU DO NOT CALL THE COPS. They will gleefully drag your happy ass to jail as well. Then they will use 'cop math' on you; seedling + container + water + dirt = Five Pounds of Marijuana.

The fourth law of growing marijuana is that you don't boast about your grow op or post pictures of your grow op on Facebook, Youtube, or anywhere else.

The fifth law of growing marijuana is that you don't transport it (especially across state lines) in a broken down piece of shiat vehicle that couldn't even pass inspection in buttfark Mexico. If you're belching smoke, leaking oil, dropping parts every few miles, and driving like a jackass then you should expect to get pulled over.

These aren't hard to follow rules. But we see a virtual parade of dumbasses getting arrested all the time because they couldn't follow a few simple rules. While I do believe that marijuana should be legal, I also believe that these dumbasses should get arrested. Not for having the marijuana but rather for being so stupid.

I'm so glad the public is being protected from highly dangerous individuals like this.

I'm just asking because I think a world with a legal system is better than one without one, and the majority of my gripes about ours tend to lie with other voters' opinions. You know, the reason we have a drug war in the first place.

My dad, who called the cops on me for pot in 1965, asked me to get some for his mom in 1969.She had been told by several Doctors from several countries that pot was her best chance at pain relief. Smoking didn't do it for her, so I made her brownies that worked miracles for that great lady in her 90's. Waited a couple years after her funeral to tell dad what a hypocrite he was.
